Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.5
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you clearly state your position that rural-to-urban migration is a negative development, the arguments provided are underdeveloped and lack sufficient supporting evidence. The points regarding crime, traffic, and health are mentioned but not explored with the depth required for a higher band. Furthermore, the inclusion of statistics (e.g., '40% perrsons', '54% citizen') appears unsupported and lacks context. To improve, you must expand on your reasoning with logical explanations and concrete examples, ensuring the essay reaches the required length.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. While you use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with' and 'Moreover', their usage is often mechanical or grammatically incorrect. The transition between ideas is frequently abrupt, and the lack of clear topic sentences makes it difficult to follow the argument. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the concluding paragraph merely repeats the prompt rather than summarizing the main points effectively. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed idea will help improve the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'citizens moving' instead of 'people migrating' and 'deffected with health issues'. Spelling errors are pervasive throughout the text, including 'negtive', 'develpment', 'vechile', and 'maney'. These errors occasionally impede communication. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your vocabulary to include more precise, academic terminology and focus on accurate spelling and word formation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The grammatical range is very limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences with frequent errors in subject-verb agreement, article usage, and tense. Examples include 'there are to much bad effect', 'peoples shift', and 'air pollution are increasing'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas and periods. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the errors are frequent enough to cause difficulty for the reader. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
