Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, people are willing to live in urban area instead of rural areas. Most of the people who were born and raised up in rural area are now migrating to urban area for better opportunities which lacks in rural areas.
I firmly believe that this would be the positive development for the city's economy and growth.
Technology has been rapidly growing in the cities where they are providing more benefits to the residents living the city. the rural people are migrating to urban areas in the search for better employment opportunities and better life. They are getting advanced education system for their children's where they can acquire more knowledge, can use advanced technology for instance mobile phones. the cities having better employment opportunities for instance Hyderabad is one of the most popular cities which provide the more jobs for skilled people as it is the 2nd ranked city for IT hub. So, most of the people are working in MNC of Hyderabad are non-native. The people are also migrating to the cities for getting better health treatment because in rural area the health system is very basic while compared to urban areas. In cities there would be advanced health treatments for the people which is a benefit to the people. The population of the city also get increase and economy as well. The cities could find many skilled people, which will be help to growth of the technology of the cities.
To sum up, the cities can get developed in positive way by the increasing of population. it would be best for future growth, furthermore economy will also increase.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that rural-to-urban migration is a positive development. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive. While you mention employment, education, and healthcare, these points are not fully extended with deep analysis. For instance, the mention of Hyderabad is a good specific example, but the explanation of how this benefits the city's economy remains superficial. To improve, focus on providing more nuanced arguments, such as the potential strain on urban infrastructure or the social impact on rural communities, to demonstrate a more balanced and thorough exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the structure is quite basic. The transition between ideas is often mechanical, relying on simple connectors like 'for instance' or 'furthermore'. There is a lack of sophisticated cohesive devices to link sentences and paragraphs smoothly. Additionally, the paragraphing is unbalanced, with a very long body paragraph that contains multiple distinct ideas. Using more varied linking words and ensuring each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed theme would significantly improve the flow and logical progression of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'migrating', 'employment opportunities', and 'native'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there is noticeable repetition of words like 'cities', 'urban', and 'rural'. Some word choices are slightly unnatural, such as 'advanced education system for their children's' (should be 'children') and 'the cities having better employment'. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise collocations and less common vocabulary related to urban planning or socio-economic trends, while ensuring accuracy in word form.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include missing articles (e.g., 'in urban area'), incorrect pluralization (e.g., 'children's'), and subject-verb agreement errors (e.g., 'the population of the city also get increase'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with several sentences starting with lowercase letters. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage.
