Student answer (Band 5.0)

In modern era, no one wants to live in rural area they all are shifting to urban area. The population of countryside id decreasing day by day it's also a negative impact and also a positive impact on state. Because if people do get good jobs in urban area their is no issue. On the other hand in countryside agriculture lack is upcoming gradually.

On the one hand those people who are moving to urban area because in their area there is lack of jobs. It's a benefit for our country and state. Because if the population is doing jobs like private or government jobs its all benefit to our country. They pay taxes and get our country on developed countries. In future if they have no survive to buy anything, in rural area they can't do anything like they doing in cities. It can also raise their standards high. If they move to cities for their better future their is nothing wrong in this they only want to improve their financial health and living like a modern man.

On the other hand in villages if all individuals move to cities than who care their fields, crops and their houses. There is no doubt that in countryside income is lower than cities, but they have the properties worth 2 crore per acre. If someone have 20 acre he have the total worth of 40 crore. People who start their business like poltary farm, fish farm and jewellers who start their business in countryside they have lack of customers.

In my opinion people will go to the rural area and start their business and move ahead with country's people.

The conclusion will that people who lives in countryside they need to mobe from their and came to rural area for their better future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt but lacks a clear, consistent position. While you mention both positive and negative aspects, the arguments are often underdeveloped or contradictory. For example, you state that rural-to-urban migration is a 'negative impact' but then focus heavily on the benefits of urban employment. The conclusion is confusing, as it suggests people should move to rural areas, which contradicts your earlier arguments about the necessity of moving to cities for financial health. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-supported idea that directly answers the 'positive or negative' question.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical flow is frequently interrupted by unclear transitions and confusing sentence structures. While you use basic cohesive devices like 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand', they are not always used correctly to introduce opposing arguments. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'If someone have 20 acre he have the total worth of 40 crore', where the connection to the previous point is weak. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each sentence follows logically from the last will help improve your score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'good jobs', 'better future', and 'modern man'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'agriculture lack is upcoming' and 'no survive to buy anything', which make the meaning difficult to follow at times. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'urbanisation', 'economic development', 'agricultural productivity', and 'socio-economic status', rather than relying on generic phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('no one wants', 'population... is decreasing', 'if someone have'), incorrect article usage, and sentence fragments. The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and sentence construction. Try to incorporate more complex sentence structures, such as using relative clauses or conditional sentences, but ensure they are grammatically accurate before attempting more advanced forms.
