Student answer (Band 5.5)

In today`s world, the population increases very rapidly, and there are much resourses are used by humankind, and due to larger population the resourses are limited and many people around the world choose to move from rural places to developed cities. So, by looking at I base of my opinion, this is a positve act to move from rural to developed cities. Now I give valid positive reasons why people migrate from rural to cities.

First of all, there are many oppurtunities and resourses in the developed cities, and offer many jobs and work possibilities and also offer pleasant living livelihood styles. Developed cites offer hospitals, education institutes, finanance sectors, and banking facilities that fulfilled the person needs and reuires of basic life standards. Cities offer clean and open play areas such as parks, amusement places, and historical places and the other best thing the city provides market, supermarkets and shopping sectors so that individuals get things according to their desir.

Secondly, advanced cities give more oppurtunities than rural sectors, the person who lives in city get things more easy than person who lives in rural. The person who lives in rural, he faces many difficulties such as when his dear ones fells ill the basic medicine facilities are not present at the moment and he suffer many hurdles. Other side rural`s lifestyle is so far beyond the present ers and rural offer less opputinites than developed cities in terms of health, education, finance, banking, and other livelihood things.

Overall, there are much positive outcomes to move from rural to developed cities. There are some more positive facts about migration from rural to city are best chances to get a job and live peacefully in hte city. But there are some negative impacts also: such as pollution, noise and traffic are major negatives of developed cities. The air, water and noise poluution are on the peak and every suffer that pollution daily and result the disease level is more in cities than rural places. Huge traffic rush and sea of vehicles on road lead to road accidents, rapidly.

To sum up, everyone has its own will to choose place where to live. For me developed city is the place i live.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The student addresses the task by clearly presenting a position that rural-to-urban migration is a positive development. Ideas regarding the opportunities, infrastructure, and services available in cities are introduced throughout the body paragraphs. However, some arguments remain repetitive and under-developed, relying on general statements like 'pleasant living livelihood styles' and listing basic facilities without deep exploration. Acknowledging negative impacts in the fourth paragraph shows an attempt to balance the discussion, though it slightly muddies the clarity of the initial position. Overall, the response meets the baseline requirements for Task Achievement, earning a Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into distinct paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs supporting the positive view, a concluding body paragraph touching on negatives, and a brief conclusion. Logical progression is attempted with transition signals like 'First of all,' 'Secondly,' and 'To sum up.' However, cohesion is frequently mechanical and sometimes faulty. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the abrupt shift to mentioning negative impacts in the fourth paragraph without a smooth transitional link. Paragraphing is used, but the overall logical flow suffers from repetitive phrasing and weak cohesive ties, placing it firmly at Band 5.5.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate to communicate basic ideas about city and rural life, featuring words like 'opportunities,' 'supermarkets,' 'pollution,' and 'infrastructure' (implied). However, there are numerous lexical and spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'resourses' instead of resources, 'positve' instead of positive, 'oppurtunities' instead of opportunities, 'fells ill' instead of falls ill, and 'poluution' instead of pollution. While the student attempts less common vocabulary, inaccuracies in word choice and spelling are frequent, restricting the lexical score to Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but grammatical control is weak. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement, such as 'there are much resourses are used' and 'when his dear ones fells ill.' Run-on sentences and punctuation issues also occur, such as in the opening sentence: 'In today`s world, the population increases very rapidly, and there are much resourses are used by humankind, and due to larger population...' These persistent errors cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the grammar score from rising above Band 5.0.
