IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In many countries around the world, rural people are moving to cities, so the population in the countryside is decreasing.
Do you think this is a positive or a negative development?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this modern era, around the world in many countries people are moving to cities from rural area because of that the population in the countryside is decreasing and I think this is a negative development with my own opinion and conclusion.
To begin with, the world were rural people choose to move into cities from countryside and population of rural area is decreasing in many counties because of modern development happening in the city and people can easyly get better facilitys rather than in rural areas were people have less facilitiys for example, people can better education good medical care and nice leaving facilitiys like 24x7 electricity and easy acsess to modern technology like tv,ac and car.
On the other hand I believe that this is a negative development because of this the population in the countryside is decreasing and it can effect on the many riral areas were people leave if they leave the countryside than there will be no people who work in farm to provide all the people foods and argiculture will get effect because of this and people will forgot their roots and it will also effect countrys fainancial economy that's why I believe that people who are moving to cities, so the population in the countryside is decreasing this is a negative development.
In conclusion, despite the fact that in many countries around the world, rural people are moving to cities, so the population in the countryside is derceasing may have few benefites however I totalty believe that this is a negative development.
