Student answer (Band 6.0)
Villagers are shifting to urban areas in most of the countries in the world, therefore the number of people is decreasing in villages. I think its positive sides are much more than its side effects because of the better employment opportunities, better education and the other basic facilities provided to the individuals in the cities. This essay will discuss why it is a positive development.
Turning to the details, there are various benefits of moving to the cities from rural areas. First of all, there are plenty of job opportunties for the hardworking and passionate workers as most of the companies and institutions are located there. Furthermore, the infrastructure is well defined and basic facilities such as clean water, electricity, gas and strong internet connection is available there. For example, the developments such as convienient roads and transport facilities are also very popular in many global cities.
Moreover, children can get quality education in many schools, colleges and universities of school to grow in their personal and professional life as well as getting exposure to different tech fields. In addition, the business market in urban areas is exponential and there are so much training sectors who helps individuals to become a succesful businessman. For instance, a person who want to do business in any field cannot become dramatically successful without creating a network with the other businesses owners of the cities. Lastly, it is also crucial for the economic development of a country.
In conclusion, its advantages are way more than its disadvantages because
it helps residents to get access to basic facilities and become financially independent.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position right from the introduction ('I think its positive sides are much more than its side effects') and supporting it throughout the body paragraphs. Key reasons such as employment opportunities, infrastructure, education, and economic development are introduced. However, some ideas are a bit repetitive or lack deep development, particularly in the third paragraph where the discussion on business markets and networking becomes slightly tangled. Overall, the essay covers the prompt adequately, earning a solid Band 6.5.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing used to separate distinct points. Cohesive devices are employed to guide the reader, such as 'Turning to the details', 'First of all', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion'. However, referencing and transitions are at times slightly mechanical or repetitive ('and there are so much training sectors who helps...'). Paragraph progression is generally logical, moving from employment and infrastructure to education and economic impact, placing this aspect safely in the Band 6.5 range.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'exponential', 'financially independent', and 'infrastructure'. There are, however, some notable lexical errors and awkward collocations, such as 'side effects' (instead of drawbacks or disadvantages), spelling mistakes like 'opportunties' and 'convienient', and grammatical word-form slips like 'there are so much training sectors who helps'. While communication is never impeded, these inaccuracies limit the score to a Band 6.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The writing features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including relative clauses and conditional structures (e.g., 'a person who want to do business...'). There are several grammatical and agreement errors throughout the text, such as 'most of the countries' (rather than most countries), 'connection is available' (subject-verb agreement with compound subjects), and 'who want' instead of 'who wants'. Despite these frequent minor errors, punctuation is generally sound and meaning remains clear, which corresponds well to the Band 6.0 descriptor.
