Student answer (Band 5.0)
The trend of migration from countryside to the urban areas have been increasing all over the world, which is the main cause of the population decline in that areas. There were both positive impact and negative impact in the development and i will provide my preference.
One of the positive developments, the nature will be clean as population decreased. As we know, Human needs natural resources for their daily live, when the ratio of residence fall in any area the requirements of daily necessity will automatically decreased. For example, in rular area wood is the main fuel source in their daily lives, they also use less wood when the population is decrease. Thus, if we consider nature protection as development then the reduction of natural resources and destruction are positive impact.
Furthermore, there are various negative developments as the declination of population takes place. One of the problems, there will be shortage of manpower for basic works and it causes obstackle for development in countryside. For instance, any development works and regular service work need different kind of skilled and unskilled individual. it can directly procuduce of crices and make kous situation. Therefore, human lives will only be possiable if there are balanced and sufficient percentages of variety of people with various culture and values.
In conclusion, although nature will recover and remains in fresh state as the population is decrease by migration in countryside, there will be arise a major problem for development of rular area while there is less opportinuity and less development. Pollution problem will be arise in future which can control by applying law and basic manners towards enviroment. There is main problem which happen suddenly if migration will have been continuing as this rate. Thus, governing bodies have to focus on this serious issue and as soon as have to step up. Also the have to provide equal oppurtinuity and facilities all over the country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both positive and negative developments of rural-urban migration. A position is stated in the introduction, where the writer mentions 'i will provide my preference' and covers aspects such as environmental recovery and workforce shortages. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive, particularly in the conclusion. While the points raised are relevant, they tend to be under-developed and lack extension with concrete real-world examples beyond general statements about wood usage and manpower shortages. The arguments could have been more fully explored to reach a higher band. Overall, the task is addressed adequately enough to satisfy the requirements for a Band 5.5 to 6.0, as all parts of the task are touched upon even if the depth of support varies.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an overall structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is attempted, though the division could be clearer. Cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'Thus', and 'In conclusion' are used to connect ideas, but their application is sometimes awkward or mechanical (e.g., 'One of the positive developments, the nature will be...'). Referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical progression suffers from abrupt shifts in sentences, especially in the final paragraph where multiple ideas about pollution and government intervention are clustered together. While the text remains readable, the misuse and mechanical nature of cohesive ties place this response at a Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'manpower', 'declination', and 'obstackle'. However, there are numerous word choice and spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'rular' instead of rural, 'procuduce of crices' instead of produce crises, and 'kous situation' instead of chaotic situation. These lexical inaccuracies and non-standard forms occasionally cause strain for the reader, although the general message remains mostly decipherable. To improve, the student needs to focus on precise word formation and collocation. These persistent slips restrict the vocabulary score to a Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, including conditional and relative clauses (e.g., 'As we know, Human needs natural resources for their daily live, when the ratio of residence fall in any area...'). However, grammatical accuracy is weak. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'The trend... have been increasing', 'Human needs'), tense consistency, and article usage. Punctuation is also problematic in places. These frequent grammatical errors cause difficulty for the reader at times, placing the grammatical range and accuracy firmly at a Band 5.0.
