Student answer (Band 5.5)

Yes ,if we look nowadays in many countries the peoples are moving from their village to the cities. The population of the villages are decreasing day by day.

In my opinion this is a positive development because the villagers dont get all the resources properly. So they come to the cities to fullfill their need. the environment of the city is way more different from the village but people are comming and adjusting there self in this environment. The main reason of shifting from village to city are hospitals. In the village there are not proper resources of hospital. In the village there are not propoer school to educate your chilldrens. In the village there are not proper security to save your life these are some reseaon why people leave there village and go to new cities.

In the cities there are more opportuinites of jobs and buisness as compare to village . In cities you can start your own buisness easily and have more chances of success indeed of village. In cities there are more opportunities of jobs you can easily get a job because there are more companies as compare to the village.

when i was at the age of 11 my Fathere took a step and we leave the village and come to city.it was because of lack of (school, hospial and buisness) so when we come to the citiy my fathere start there own buisness and get admission for us in the best school of the city. Now my fathere is well known buisness man in the city and i did my FSC last year.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that the rural-to-urban migration is a positive development and supports this stance with reasons such as better access to hospitals, schools, security, and employment opportunities. Ideas are presented and supported with a personal example about the writer's family moving to the city. However, the development remains somewhat basic and repetitive, lacking further extension or broader sociological perspective. While the main parts of the task are covered, the arguments stay at a fairly superficial level, which aligns best with Band 6.0 descriptors.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay displays an overall logical arrangement as the writer moves from introducing the topic to stating reasons related to public services, then economic factors, and finally a personal narrative. Paragraphing is attempted to separate these distinct themes. However, cohesive devices are basic, repetitive, and occasionally mechanical (e.g., repeating 'In the village' and 'In the cities' at the start of multiple sentences). Referencing is sometimes unclear, and punctuation errors disrupt smooth transitions between ideas. This level of cohesion and paragraph management is characteristic of a Band 5.5 performance.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate to convey basic meaning, featuring everyday terms related to employment, education, and health. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'resources', 'opportunities', and 'environment', but inaccuracies in word choice, spelling, and collocation are noticeable (e.g., 'fullfill their need', 'adjusting there self', 'propoer school', 'chilldrens', 'bussiness', 'indeed of village'). These errors do not completely impede communication, but they restrict the range and precision of the response, placing it firmly in the Band 5.0 category.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The text contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but attempts at complex forms are frequently marred by basic grammatical and punctuation errors. There are numerous persistent errors in subject-verb agreement, article usage, capitalization, and spelling (e.g., 'the peoples are moving', 'villagers dont get', 'there are not proper resources', 'Fathere took a step', 'we leave the village and come to city'). While simple sentences are generally understandable, errors occur with high frequency and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptor profile.
