Student answer (Band 5.0)

In many countries, an increasing number of people are leaving rural areas and moving to cities. As a result, the population of countryside is declining. This trend can give benefits but also have some negative effects on rural area population. This act may harm the development of rural areas as all members are moving to cities, and also badly effect the agricultural areas of rural side.

The problem is increasing for city areas that more people migrate there and make their family their, their childrens are also grow there. This may problmatic for ruban areas because of rapid population increasing. If governments cannot provide sufficient infrastructure, cities may experience overcrowding, traffic congestion, unemployment and higher living costs. This can reduce th quality of life for both residents.

Another problem is that rural to ruban migration is the decline of agricultural communities. When young and educated people leave villages, there will be less workers and fewer farmers to cultivate farmland and maintain local businesses. This can reduce agricultural production and may also leads to starving for rural area. In addition, schools, shops and healthcare facilities may become less availabe when the population falls.

For example, in many developing countries, small villages have lost thrie cultivation process and have least crops.

In conclusion, although rural to urban area migration can give so much benifits and open up so many doors of success for then but also give them some disadvantages for living in urban areas. They have all the facilities if they earn for them. That is why, we must have to focus on both perspectives

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the negative effects of rural-to-urban migration, viewing the trend primarily as a negative development. A position is presented, though the conclusion contradicts this slightly by suggesting it gives 'so much benifits'. Ideas are introduced regarding urban overcrowding and the decline of agricultural communities, but they lack full development and clear support. For instance, the example provided ('small villages have lost thrie cultivation process and have least crops') is vague and under-developed. Because the ideas are presented rather simplistically and the discussion leans heavily on generalisations without detailed elaboration, this performance aligns closely with Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, which helps structure the response, but overall cohesion is frequently faulty and mechanical. Cohesive devices are either misused or absent, and referencing is occasionally unclear (e.g., 'make their family their, their childrens are also grow there'). Paragraphing attempts to separate the problems facing cities from those facing rural areas, but the progression within paragraphs is disjointed. Sentences are often strung together without logical transitions. The conclusion fails to synthesize the points effectively, resulting in a confusing summary of both benefits and disadvantages. These features are characteristic of Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently impeded by spelling and word-choice errors. Examples include 'ruban' instead of 'urban', 'thrie' instead of 'their', 'availabe', and 'benifits'. The student attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'infrastructure', 'unemployment', and 'agricultural communities', but errors in word formation ('problmatic', 'increasing') and collocation ('leads to starving for rural area') are noticeable and sometimes cause difficulty for the reader. The lexical range is minimally adequate for addressing the topic, placing it firmly at Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The text displays a very limited range of sentence structures, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty (e.g., 'This problem is increasing for city areas that more people migrate there and make their family their...'). There are frequent errors in basic grammar, subject-verb agreement ('childrens are also grow'), articles, and tense usage. Punctuation is also weak in places. While the meaning can generally be deciphered with effort, the high frequency of grammatical errors causes constant distraction and difficulty, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptors.
