Student answer (Band 5.5)
In numerous countries in the world, villagers are trading to cities, due to which the population in rural areas are declining. The reason behind this trade is lack of health resources and education. I strongly agree that this is a positive development as people from rural areas receive all the basic facilites in cities.
The foremost reason of individuals leaving rural areas might be due to not getting enough health facilities. Not getting a proper treatment for any kind of sickness, t which might lead to death. Villagers have transport issues due to which they can't make it to hospitals in time. Like there are not many resources in countryside which can be used to trat the patient suffering from any kind of disease.
The other reason would be to lack of proper higher education for the children living in villages, so their families tend to think about their children having good education and job oppurtunities so their youngsters get all the resources required for their effective education and better job oppurtunities.
From my point of view it is a positive development as all human beings have the right to get equal resources in every sector of life. Villagers become confident once they get used to the city life, and they are acknowledged by the fact theat they desreve all the resources as human beings.
In conclusion rural people are moving to cities beacuse of not enough resourxes and yes this is a positve and beneficial development for the villagers.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position that rural depopulation is a positive development due to improved access to healthcare and education. However, your ideas are somewhat under-developed and lack extended support. For example, your second paragraph mentions transport issues and lack of resources leading to death, but you do not fully explore or substantiate this point with a specific example. To reach a higher level, you should extend your arguments with more detailed elaboration and concrete examples rather than relying on brief, repetitive statements.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
Your essay has a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion, and paragraphs are generally used to separate different points. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes faulty and mechanical. You rely on basic cohesive devices like 'The foremost reason' and 'The other reason', and your referencing and transitions between sentences can feel abrupt, such as the sudden shift in paragraph two with 'Not getting a proper treatment for any kind of sickness, t which might lead to death.' Improving your logical flow and using a wider, more flexible range of cohesive devices without mechanical repetition would strengthen your organizational structure.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting some less common items such as 'depopulation', 'resources', and 'development'. However, your writing contains noticeable lexical errors in word choice, collocation, and spelling that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. For instance, phrases like 'villagers are trading to cities' are unnatural, and you have repeated spelling and word-form errors such as 'facilites', 'trat', 'oppurtunities', 'theat', 'desreve', 'resourxes', and 'positve'. To improve, you need to refine your precision in word choice and ensure accurate spelling of common academic vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms throughout your essay, attempting complex structures to express your reasons and viewpoint. However, your writing contains frequent errors in grammar, agreement, and sentence structure. For example, you write 'the population in rural areas are declining' (subject-verb agreement error, as 'population' is singular), and you construct sentence fragments such as 'Not getting a proper treatment for any kind of sickness, t which might lead to death.' Additionally, prepositions and article usage are occasionally mishandled. Working on grammatical control and ensuring your complex sentences are complete and accurate will greatly enhance your writing.
