Student answer (Band 5.0)

Now a time in many country all around the world world. Peoples who lived in village are try to move toward big cities so as a result the population in village areas are decreasing now a days .From my perspective everyone should have right to make their decisions according to their needs but its not a positive change because it affects our economy and growth.

A number of villagers try to leave their village and move toward big cities because they want to improve their life also they want to give their children everything.

The other reason is they the less amount of facilities every children have a right to get education or good medical services because they give a huge amount of taxes to our government for give them some basic opportunities and needs but our government is to lazy to give them even their rights .It laso include less job facilities in village life the main and the strongest reason that force every villager to move toward cities .Furthermore, an huge amount of people who move toward big cities can be able to upgrade their lifestyle because they work hard and try to inhance gheir lifestyle and sometimes they became successfull in their missions or goals and they will be able to give thier children and family a good balanced life therefore its a positive change for theirself but a negative impact on our coutryies economy and agricultral departmrnts because the population in viallges decreasing rapidly thats why the amount of crops began to fall very fastly and its not good for our country and also for ourself .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing the rural-to-urban migration trend and clearly stating a position that it is a negative development due to economic and agricultural impacts. However, the development of ideas is uneven. While you mention reasons such as the lack of basic facilities and educational opportunities in villages, these ideas remain somewhat under-developed and are lumped together in a long, continuous block without sufficient extension. To move to a higher band, you need to fully develop each supporting point with clearer explanations and more specific examples rather than generalizing about government shortcomings.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The text presents a coherent overall arrangement and attempts to sequence ideas logically, but the lack of proper paragraphing significantly hinders cohesion. The entire body of the essay is written as a single massive block of text, which makes the progression difficult to follow. Furthermore, cohesive devices are often faulty or mechanical, relying heavily on basic linkers like 'and' or 'furthermore' without careful management of referencing. To improve this criterion, you must organize your ideas into distinct, logical paragraphs—such as a clear introduction, separate body paragraphs for different arguments, and a conclusion—and use cohesive devices more accurately to guide the reader smoothly through your arguments.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task and shows an attempt to use less common items such as 'lifestyle', 'agricultral', and 'economy', but there are noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word form that occasionally impede communication. For instance, terms like 'inhance', 'became successfull', and 'coutryies' show spelling and morphological issues, while phrases like 'amount of crops began to fall very fastly' lack natural collocation. To achieve a higher band, you should expand your range of vocabulary, ensure correct word forms and spellings, and use more precise collocations suited to an academic context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The writing demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but it is heavily impacted by frequent errors in grammar, punctuation, and articles. There are noticeable issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the population in village areas are', 'every children have'), missing articles (e.g., 'give them education'), and run-on sentences lacking proper punctuation. These errors mean that while communication is still achieved, the control over complex structures is faulty. To progress, you need to focus on foundational grammar rules, particularly pluralization, subject-verb agreement, and breaking up long, run-on sentences into grammatically accurate units.
