Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, the people of village are moving to cities and the population of countryside is decreasing. It is widely believed that this issue has become increasingly significant in modren society. This issue has attracted mixed opinions because it will discuss both views. This essay will discuss the positive and negative views about the migration of citizens for village to big cities.

On the positive side, many people believe that the moving to big cities has positove imapct on economy and on lifesyle. In cities there are so many schools of international standard which play an important role in education of the childrens. Moreover, there are so many international standard hospitals. In cities people do not need to travel for medine and in emergenc. There are shopping malls, super marts and lot of othere sources of income that make cities better for living. It make life more comfortable and easy.

On the other hand, many people believe that it is a negative development and l am also think this may has a lot of negative impact. This creats a serious challenge about farming. If people continously shifted to cities they don't look after field and this may leads to shortage of food. According to my analysis due this there will be no common improvements will happened.

In conclusion, this may have both positive and negative impact on the development of both cities and rural areas. There is need to spread awareness in civilians about the importance of village life and difficulities in big cities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the question by discussing benefits of city migration and then stating that you consider it negative overall, particularly because fewer people may remain to farm. This gives the response a relevant central concern, but your position is not fully clear: the introduction promises to discuss both views, while the conclusion says the development has both positive and negative effects and recommends raising awareness rather than directly answering whether it is positive or negative. The benefits—schools, hospitals and shopping facilities—are relevant, but are listed rather than explained in depth. The farming point is potentially strong, yet the link to food shortages needs clearer explanation or an example. State your overall judgement consistently and develop fewer points with specific support.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on benefits, a paragraph on drawbacks and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the positive side,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow this structure. However, some connections are mechanical, and the introduction repeats “This issue” while promising to discuss “both views” without clearly establishing your own position. Within the benefits paragraph, schools, hospitals, shopping malls and income sources are placed in a list, so the progression between ideas is limited. The sentence “According to my analysis due this there will be no common improvements will happened” is difficult to connect to the farming argument. Use clearer links between cause and consequence, and make the conclusion follow directly from your stated position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “international standard,” “emergency,” “farming,” “shortage of food” and “rural areas.” These choices make the subject understandable, but the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or unnatural, which can make meaning less clear. Examples include “positive impact on economy and on lifesyle,” “sources of income that make cities better for living” and “common improvements.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “modren,” “positove,” “imapct,” “medine” and “difficulities.” Aim for accurate collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “access to healthcare,” “agricultural workforce” and “rural depopulation” would help express your ideas efficiently.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional idea beginning “If people continuously shifted to cities…” and a relative clause about schools “which play an important role.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction sometimes make the message difficult to follow. For example, “I am also think this may has” combines incompatible verb forms, while “this may leads” and “this may have both positive and negative impact” show problems with modal verbs and agreement. “The moving to big cities has” also needs a more natural grammatical construction. Practise building accurate sentences with modals (“may lead”), subject–verb agreement and articles, then proofread each sentence for a complete, clear structure.
