Student answer (Band 5.0)
In digital era, village side people moving to different areas, thus the population in the countryside is decreasing.Population is the biggest problem in our counrty. It is very common. There are many reasons that people moving to cities. It has some positive and negative development on society. Here, I will justify my point of view and explain with example.
On the one side, there are many reason that people are moving to different areas that is helpful for thier future.Firstly, some people move to another city for their business because they think that there is no proper facilities to utilize their business which cuase serious problem in decreasing the population in the countryside. Secondly, many people visit to cities for study purpose because in rular area has no proper education system. In rular area has no qualified teachers that is the biggest problem in our village. For instance, my cousin live in village area and she has no basic necesities to complete their study such as,internet system, transport, and electricity which is big issue of rular areas. Thus, she can not take their online classes on time and she got lower score in her study.
On the other hand, there are some other reason that people choosing other cities for settlement and that is concerend with decreasing population in rularside.Furtheremore, people think that cities has many oppertunities for their career and help them to scure their bright future. Moreover, people start moving another cities that cause decline the population in the counrtyside.
In conclusion, there are many options to stop this issues.I think goverment should focuse on the countryside and provide them facilities which help them to start their career in the best way. Government should focus on the transport, health care centre, and education system.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify several relevant reasons for rural-to-urban migration, including education, business facilities and career opportunities, and your cousin’s experience gives one point a concrete example. However, the task asks whether this is a positive or negative development, and your position remains unclear: you say it has “some positive and negative development” but do not decide which overall view you support. The body paragraphs mainly explain why people move rather than assess the effects on rural communities and society. The conclusion recommends improving rural services, which hints at a negative view, but this stance needs to be stated clearly and supported throughout. Develop a few effects in more detail and explain why you consider the overall change positive or negative.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
Your response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad structure. However, progression within the essay is limited: the second body paragraph repeats that cities offer opportunities and that rural populations decline, without adding a distinct consequence or developing the argument. “On the one side” and “On the other hand” suggest a balanced comparison, but the paragraphs do not clearly present opposing effects. Some links between ideas are unclear, and punctuation spacing makes several sentences run together. Organise each paragraph around one clear claim, explain it, and connect the example directly to that claim.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “population,” “qualified teachers,” “career” and “education system,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, such as “village side people,” “for study purpose,” “bright future” and “decline the population.” Spelling errors, including “counrty,” “rular,” “oppertunities” and “goverment,” are noticeable and reduce the overall control of vocabulary. Aim for more precise phrases for migration and its effects, and check spelling carefully. Replacing repeated general terms such as “people” and “cities” with accurate alternatives will also make the discussion clearer and less repetitive.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a reason-and-result structure in “Thus, she can not take their online classes on time and she got lower score.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors can make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “there are many reason,” “people moving to cities,” “cities has many opportunities,” and “my cousin live,” which show problems with plurals, verb forms and subject–verb agreement. Articles and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “in rular area has no proper education system.” Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement, articles and punctuation before adding more complex clauses.
