Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays rural people are tends to move to cities so thats why population of the countryside are decreasing day by day.In my thinking i completely agree with the fact that it is a postivite development cause better oppurtunities in cities rather than countryside and also more efficient use of land.Furthermore this also helps to modernize rural areas. This essay will discuss the reason of my views.
On one hand people who are moving to cities for their future and career goals are improving their standard of livings and income also.Furthermore in cities you can get better healthcare facilities and so many better option for younger generation to build their career.it is better to move to cities rather than seating in your countryside home doing nothing. For instance one statistics show that people who are moved out to city is much more established than who are still residing on countryside. Therefore people have to make this hard decision for their betterment of the life and future.
On other hand as there are so many abandoned or unused land likely to be found. That land can be used for large scale agriculture ,different type of government and non government projects, forestry, tourism etc. This type of work leads to betterment of countryside .Additionally as fewer people live in villages, government can focus on improving infrastructure in remaining rural communities.Roads, internet, electricity and healthcare facilities will be more efficient due to population decrease. As an example one survey made by scientist prove that one village with few peoples are more advanced than the village with vast population. Thus people in countryside are now havig better oppurtunities than densed cities.
In conclusion i can say that people move to cities for betterment and goverment should also improve the countryside by using unused land and make efficient use of resources.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You give a clear, consistent view that rural-to-urban migration is positive, and you address the question with relevant reasons: improved employment, income and healthcare in cities, alongside possible uses for underused rural land. The conclusion also restates your position. However, some ideas are more fully addressed than others. The benefits for migrants are understandable but supported mainly by broad claims, while the claim that fewer rural residents will make infrastructure more efficient needs clearer explanation. The examples about a “statistics” and a “survey” are vague and do not identify what was measured or how it supports the point. Develop each main reason with a specific, credible illustration and explain the link to your overall judgement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting related arguments, and a conclusion. Paragraphing helps the reader follow the main points, and signposts such as “On one hand,” “On other hand,” and “In conclusion” make the direction clear. However, the progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, with repeated “Furthermore,” “Therefore,” and “Thus.” Some links between claims are not fully explained: for example, the move from abandoned land to improved rural life needs a clearer chain of reasoning. The final sentence also introduces a recommendation about government action without connecting it explicitly to the earlier argument. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make the relationship between each claim and its supporting example more explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of relevant vocabulary, including “healthcare facilities,” “career goals,” “large scale agriculture,” “infrastructure,” and “efficient use of resources.” These choices allow you to discuss both urban opportunities and rural development. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “postivite,” “oppurtunities,” “havig,” and “densed.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “standard of livings,” “better option,” and “seating in your countryside home.” These do not usually prevent understanding, but they reduce precision and naturalness. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations as complete phrases; for example, use “standard of living,” “career opportunities,” and “remaining in a rural area” rather than translating expressions word by word.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional idea about how land “can be used” and a reason introduced by “because.” The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, sentence boundaries and punctuation occur across the response. For example, “rural people are tends” combines incompatible verb forms, while “population … are decreasing” has a subject–verb agreement problem. Several sentences run together, particularly in the introduction and the first body paragraph, making the structure harder to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly attached supporting clause, then check agreement and punctuation. Greater control of these patterns would make your range more effective.
