Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear overall view—“This is the negative development”—and give relevant reasons, including reduced agricultural production and the loss of services or opportunities in rural areas. However, the response addresses the issue only partially: the effects are asserted rather than explained, and the point about “stress and inferity complex” is difficult to understand or connect to rural depopulation. The conclusion also shifts to saying that the better place depends on personal needs, which weakens your negative position. The response is 10 words below the required minimum, so there is limited space for developing your ideas. Explain one or two consequences with specific examples and keep your position consistent throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Transitions such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal stages of the argument. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph explains why people move, while the next lists effects without showing how they follow from that movement. Some linking phrases are inaccurate or mechanical, including “In result,” and the final advice to “choose wisely” does not follow naturally from the discussion. Build clearer links between each claim and its consequence, and use referencing such as “this migration” to make connections explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “rural,” “urban cities,” “agriculture production,” and “economy,” so the reader can identify the subject of the essay. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling problems make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “desire amount of money,” “inferity complex,” and “their is no compersion”; these do not communicate your intended meaning clearly. There are also repeated general words such as “people,” “life,” and “cities.” Aim for accurate, natural phrases and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “employment opportunities,” “rural communities,” and “agricultural output” would help express your ideas more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, for example, “However, most of the people choose to live in urban cities because…” This shows an effort to explain reasons, but complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. In the opening, “people … leaving … and move” lacks consistent verb forms, while “which can leads” has incorrect agreement and verb form. Other examples include “it reduce the population” and “their is,” where the verb form is incorrect. Articles, plurals and sentence boundaries also need attention. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clear subordinate clause before adding more complexity.
