Student answer (Band 4.5)

In recent times, many people migrate from urban places to cities. It is doubtedly a positive development, if everyone will move toward city areas there will be no rural area left. Nowadays many young people are moving from countryside to cities for better education and try to settle themself in the environment.

Firstly, this context play a vital role in our socities. According to my point of view, it plays a negative development this is because if most of the people will left there places in rural areas the extension of population in the countryside will decrease which is not good change. For example, people are shifting from rural areas because they did not have that much facilities to live a good life that's why they send their younger generation towards city areas to gain higher education.

In my experience, I saw many people trying to send there elder children for education in cities this is because the education play a very important role and the cities education system is way different from rural areas.

In many countries, people go city sides for higher education but they never came back to there countrysides which play a very negative role. In my opinion, people should comeback to there urban areas after gaining higher education from the city.

In conclusion, I will say that we should develop the sysetm of good education in rural areas so people will not gonna move from there shelters to another city. This type of changing play important role.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a clear overall view that rural-to-city migration is negative, and you suggest improving rural education as a response. However, the discussion only partly answers the question because the main consequences are repeated rather than developed: the shrinking countryside is called “not good,” but you do not explain in detail what this means for rural communities or cities. Education is the main supporting point, and the example about families sending children to cities is relevant, but it needs a clearer explanation of its effects. The opening also says people migrate “from urban places to cities,” which conflicts with the task. Develop two distinct consequences and support each with a specific example to make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “For example” and “In conclusion” help show the intended structure. However, ideas do not progress clearly: the points about education and people not returning are repeated across the middle paragraphs, while the relationship between these points and the negative impact on rural areas is not consistently explained. Some linking phrases are awkward or unclear, such as “this context play a vital role” and “this type of changing play important role.” Referencing is also sometimes difficult to follow, particularly “they send their younger generation.” Organise each paragraph around one distinct reason, then use clear cause-and-effect links to connect the example to your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “countryside,” “rural areas,” “higher education” and “education system,” so the reader can generally identify the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, including “urban places to cities,” “city sides,” “extension of population” and “negative role.” These expressions sometimes make the intended meaning harder to understand. Spelling and word-form errors such as “socities,” “sysetm” and “countrysides” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of phrases for migration and its effects, and check whether each expression sounds natural in context; for example, describe the “decline in the rural population” rather than its “extension.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional structure in “if everyone will move toward city areas there will be no rural area left.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some passages difficult to follow. Examples include “this context play,” “if most of the people will left,” and “the education play,” where verb forms or subject–verb agreement are incorrect. The conditional sentence also needs a more accurate verb pattern, such as “if everyone moves to cities, there will be no one left in rural areas.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation need attention, especially where separate ideas run together. Practise accurate present-tense statements and conditional forms before adding more complex clauses.
