Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You state a negative position, and the points about people leaving for education or work and the need to improve rural services are relevant to the topic. However, the response addresses the question only minimally: it focuses largely on people going abroad rather than explaining the effects of rural-to-city migration, and the consequences for rural communities are not developed. The proposed solutions are repeated but not explained with examples or clear links to the problem. The final sentence is unfinished, which further limits the response. The required minimum of 250 words is not met; the response is 52 words short. To strengthen the answer, explain specific effects of rural depopulation and support your position with a developed example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response into an introduction, a paragraph giving reasons, and a paragraph suggesting solutions. Some links, such as “The main reason” and “For example,” help signal the direction of ideas. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the discussion shifts from rural-to-city movement to going abroad without explaining the connection. Several points are repeated, particularly the calls to provide better facilities and options, and the final phrase, “Provide them a,” leaves the response incomplete. Use paragraphs to develop one clear point at a time, connect each point explicitly to the question, and avoid repeating the same recommendation.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “population,” “facilities,” “study,” and “job opportunities,” so the general subject can be understood. However, the range is basic and repetitive, and several word choices or spellings make meaning less clear, such as “another cities,” “abrode,” “deacrease,” and “oppurnaties.” The repeated use of “provide” and “better” also limits precision. Aim to use accurate phrases for the specific issue, such as “move from rural areas to urban centres” and “access to education and employment.” Proofreading spelling and choosing more precise collocations would make your ideas easier to understand and more appropriate for an academic essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response mainly uses simple sentence patterns, with a few attempts to connect ideas using “so,” “when,” and “that.” However, grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “Decreasing a population have impact” has problems with the subject and verb, while “When one person go abroad then their family also go there” contains errors in agreement and sentence construction. Articles, plurals, and verb forms are also often inaccurate, as in “in another country their are more facilities.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using controlled subordinate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement and verb forms carefully.
