Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that nowadays majority of people start moving from villages to the city all around the world. However, for me, it is no doubt a beneficial step for the people. In the further paragraphs, I will explain the reasons, why i consider it positive development.
First of all, It gives better opportunites to the children of the countryside individuls to have quality education as compared to the rural areas. Although, in villages side children have the pure and pollution free life, but their education would suffer in this regard. So it clearly indicates that positive side of moving toward cities.
Adding more to it, quick access to the medical aid which I think every individul should give prority. I experinced that my uncle who was resident of village, faced great diificulty when he had to take his son to the emergency because of cardiac attack, unfortunely! he lost his life. Henced it proves that its basic right of every person.
Furthermore, industries should trasnfer from urban areas to rural areas because it would give benefits to the citizens and villagers, as people can easily move towards the cities and pollution would also reduce by shitfing to remote places. This step, I believe will prove beneficial for overall nations.
In conclusion, allthough population of the countryside is decreasing day by day, but its not a neagtive step. If govt works on it, it will be proved to be a positive development for the countries where villagers are thinking about the future of their upcoming generation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you consider rural-to-urban migration beneficial, and you give relevant reasons involving education and access to emergency medical care. The account of your uncle’s experience also provides a concrete example. However, the response addresses the issue only partially because several points are asserted rather than explained. For instance, the paragraph about industries moving to rural areas introduces a different proposal without showing clearly how it supports your view about people moving to cities. The conclusion mentions government action and future generations, but does not specify what action is needed or develop its benefits. To strengthen the response, explain each main reason in more detail and connect every example directly to the overall argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of your argument. However, progression between ideas is not always clear: the paragraph about transferring industries to rural areas shifts away from the main discussion of migration, and its connection to your position is difficult to follow. Some linking is also mechanical, with repeated formulaic transitions and phrases such as “So it clearly indicates” and “Henced it proves.” Improve cohesion by making the relationship between each reason explicit, using pronouns and references clearly, and ensuring each paragraph develops one connected point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “quality education,” “medical aid,” “emergency” and “pollution,” and the personal example helps make your meaning understandable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less precise, such as “opportunites,” “individuls,” “diificulty” and “neagtive.” Some combinations are also unnatural, including “villages side” and “give prority.” These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the general argument, but they are noticeable and sometimes require extra effort. Build a more accurate set of phrases for discussing rural services, employment and migration, and check spelling and collocations carefully when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “Although” and a relative clause in “my uncle who was resident of village.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to affect fluency. For example, “Although, in villages side children have …, but their education would suffer” combines two contrasting structures incorrectly; “why i consider it positive development” has problems with capitalisation and article use; and “its basic right” needs a possessive form and an article. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly around “unfortunely!” Practise building accurate sentences with one clear main clause, then add subordinate clauses and check articles, agreement and punctuation.
