Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this statement talk about a rural people are moving to cities, and the countryside population is decreasing. I think it developed negative and positive both effects. I will expalin the statement in the following.
Nowadays, in some countries people are moving to cities it develope some positive effects and some negative effects. More people are moving in cities however the cities population is very increase and villages population is very decrease. In cities population is more side effects on people health they do not gave fresh air because more people are moving in cities. Therefore, it develope negative effects.
While it developed some positive effects. In cities build a big school, college and universities people easily went to in schools. In cities build a big hospital people easily treatement all diseases. In villages some childrens do not educated because in villages schools and colleges are not available. And people do not pay her studies in village. All facillties available in cities. but in village do not available all facilitis therefore people are moving to cities. In village rich people are educated but poor people cannot educated because rich people pay her stduy expenses and poor people do not pay her study expenses. Therefore, people are moving in cities.
In conclusion, people do not move in cities but people demand her facilities of their government so that all facilities are available in villages. Therefore cities people do not face different problems. If government do not gave all facilities so people are moving in cities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both sides of the question by identifying disadvantages of city growth and benefits such as access to schools and hospitals. However, the task asks you to decide whether the overall development is positive or negative, and your opening says it has “positive and negative both effects” without making a clear overall judgement. The conclusion shifts towards asking the government to improve rural facilities, but does not explicitly state which side you consider stronger. Your points are relevant, yet they remain general: for example, the claim that city growth harms health because people do not get fresh air needs a clearer explanation or example. State your position directly and develop two or three reasons with specific support.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, discussion of disadvantages, discussion of benefits, and a conclusion. This gives the reader some organisation, and words such as “however,” “therefore,” and “in conclusion” signal relationships between ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and several links are repetitive or do not show the intended relationship. For instance, “Therefore, it develope negative effects” repeats the preceding point rather than extending it, while the discussion of rich and poor families’ education is difficult to connect to the main argument. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s central reason, then explain and illustrate it. Vary linking expressions and make references between sentences more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use a small set of relevant topic words, including “population,” “cities,” “villages,” “facilities,” “schools,” and “hospital,” so the general subject is usually understandable. However, vocabulary is limited and repeated, and inaccurate word forms or collocations sometimes make meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “population is very increase,” “people easily treatement all diseases,” and “pay her studies.” Spelling errors such as “expalin,” “facillties,” and “stduy” also reduce accuracy. Build a more varied set of expressions for migration and its effects, and check whether each word fits its grammatical and contextual role. More precise phrases such as “access to healthcare” and “rural services” would help express your ideas clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt a few different sentence patterns, including contrast with “While” and cause-and-effect clauses with “because” and “therefore.” Nevertheless, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in basic sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, and articles. Examples include “In this statement talk about,” “the cities population is very increase,” and “people do not gave fresh air.” Some sentences are also difficult to interpret because clauses are joined without clear grammatical structure, as in “In cities build a big hospital people easily treatement all diseases.” Practise forming complete subject–verb sentences first, then combine them using accurate subordinate clauses. Check verb tense and agreement, and use articles and plural forms consistently.
