Student answer (Band 5.5)
In different regions of the globe, most of the people are now shifting from villages toward urban areas in search of more facillities which results in the decrement of population in the villages.
On the one hand, it is considered as a positive aspect because their are too much facillities in cities as compared to rural designs like educational institutes, medication centres, job opportunities, better career develpoment, etc. Alot of people which transfers from rural areas to urbans areas are often students or young. In cities the facillities are much more covenient and reliable as compared to villages. In cities the transportation system is fast and cheap. Business minded individuals get more opportunities for starting their business in cities and they are realising and observing the global trends.
On the other hand, it is regarded as a negative development as some people think that wide range of people are leaving their villages only for the sake of some better facillities. But they don't realise that the life in village is serene and peaceful. Their is significant reduction in the agricultural aspects which impact widely on country's economy. The population in villages is decreasing day by day which effects negatively on the production of pure food. As more people are moving towards cities so number of people for farming in villages are decreasing gradually.
In conclusion, people should not completely abandon the agriculture in order to move to cities for better facillities and better life. Nevertheless, people should not confined themselves in villages following the old traditions and customs. Instead they should move on and ,make progress in their lives.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the development and give a recognisable position in the conclusion: rural residents should not abandon agriculture, but should also be able to pursue progress. The points about access to education, healthcare and jobs, and the effect of fewer farmers on food production, are relevant. However, the position is not fully clear throughout: the introduction describes the movement without saying whether you consider it positive or negative, and the body presents both sides without weighing them. Several claims, such as the effect on the national economy, are asserted rather than explained or supported with a specific example. State your overall judgement early and develop the strongest reasons with clearer explanation or evidence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs signposted by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This makes the main direction easy to follow. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and ideas within paragraphs are not always linked precisely. For example, the first body paragraph moves from facilities to young migrants, transport and business opportunities without explaining how each point supports the same argument. Repetition of “In cities” and “facilities” also makes progression less smooth. Use clearer links between claims and their consequences, and ensure references such as “they” and “their” have an unmistakable antecedent.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “educational institutes,” “job opportunities,” “agricultural aspects” and “production of pure food,” so the reader can understand the main subject. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “facilities,” “people” and “cities,” while several word choices, collocations and spellings are inaccurate. Examples include “decrement of population,” “rural designs,” “medication centres” and “covenient”; these make parts of the response less natural and occasionally less clear. Aim for more precise expressions and check spelling carefully. Using accurate topic-specific language, rather than repeating broad terms, would make your arguments more effective.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex forms, including a contrastive opening with “On the one hand” and a cause-and-effect sentence beginning “As more people are moving towards cities.” The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but some grammatical errors remain and occasionally make relationships unclear. For example, “their are” and “Their is” show errors in subject–verb agreement, while “people which transfers” has problems with both the relative pronoun and verb agreement. The sentence “people should not confined themselves” also needs a correctly formed verb. Review agreement, relative clauses and verb patterns, and proofread punctuation; these corrections would make your varied sentence attempts more controlled.
