Student answer (Band 6.0)
In most places of the world, citizens are moving from the countryside to the cities resulting in a decrease in the population of rural ares.
In my opinion, this is a very negative development for the country and the quality of life of the people.
One of the main drawbacks of excessive moving to the city is overcrowding.
which can cause a lot of traffic congestion leading to air and noise pollution. Even more, rapidly growing population leads to an increase in the cost of living through basic supply and demand. Which increases the competition for basic vital resources like water, electricity, food and public services. Because when the infrastructure can't handle the demand prices rise. Also products can quickly go out of stock especially in emergencies making it hard to provide equal rights for everyone.
Moving to the city has negative social impact, where paople are obliged to leave their houses and families in order to look for jobs and networking, as a result they see their families once year because of the far distance.
Overcrowding in urban areas has it's effects also on the countryside.
leading the rural area to be abandoned, not enough workers for important fields like healthcare and education which makes the resources in those ares to go to loss. creating unequal development between cities and rural areas. However the government must create jobs throught the country not only in cities, As a result people work from their hometown creating equal development and a comfortable life, even the country's economy could benefit from using all of its resources in the whole country.
to conclude moving to the city has a negative impact on the whole country it creates large problems affecting the people and the economy which needs active solutions .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider rural-to-urban migration a negative development, and the conclusion returns to this view. You address effects on both cities and rural communities, supporting your argument with relevant points such as congestion, pollution, pressure on services, family separation, and shortages of workers in healthcare and education. The suggestion that governments create jobs across the country also gives the response a practical dimension. These ideas are extended with explanations, although some claims are broad—for example, that products may quickly go out of stock—and would be more convincing with a specific example or clearer explanation. Overall, the task is addressed and the main ideas are supported, but some development remains general.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, discussion of urban pressures, effects on rural areas, a proposed solution, and a conclusion. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and several sentence fragments interrupt the flow. For example, “which can cause a lot of traffic congestion” and “leading the rural area to be abandoned” are separated from the ideas they depend on. Linking phrases such as “Even more,” “Because,” and “As a result” are sometimes used mechanically or create unclear relationships. Paragraphing would be more effective if each paragraph developed one main point, with the solution separated from the description of rural decline. Use clear sentence boundaries and refer back to ideas explicitly to make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary to discuss the topic, including “overcrowding,” “traffic congestion,” “air and noise pollution,” “infrastructure,” and “unequal development.” These terms help communicate the main arguments, and some topic-specific choices are effective. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “excessive moving,” “resources … to go to loss,” and “look for jobs and networking.” Spelling errors, including “ares,” “paople,” and “throught,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more natural combinations and check spelling carefully; for instance, describe people as “migrating to cities” and rural resources as “going unused.” This would make the vocabulary more precise and fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex structures, including cause-and-effect relationships and clauses beginning with “where” and “which.” However, control is inconsistent, and sentence-boundary errors occur repeatedly. “One of the main drawbacks … is overcrowding. which can cause…” should be joined into one sentence, while “Because when the infrastructure can't handle the demand prices rise” is an incomplete and awkwardly structured clause. There are also errors with articles, agreement, and sentence punctuation, as in “they see their families once year” and “Overcrowding … has it's effects.” These problems sometimes make relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise building complete sentences around one main clause, then check articles, verb forms, and punctuation.
