Student answer (Band 5.0)
Villagers are shifting to cities and the population of the non developmental areas are decreasing in most of the countries in the world. In think it's some sort of postive development and negative development also.
Overall, the population of the urban areas are increasing because of the amenities. Individuals are attracted by the developmental areas especially rural people and the population of the counrtyside is decreasing.
Urban areas are expanding because there are alot of facilities here. For instence if some need any medical treatment in cities hospitals are open 24/7. Individuals can go anytime, anywhere it's very convinient for people to go to supermarket. Roads are wide and clean. People can drive safely here.
Cities are safe also here people can go outside without any hesitation and without any fear. That's why alot of people are shifting to cities and I think it's a positive development by the people but we can see a drawback of this cities are expending now. concentration and problems of the cities ar
On the contrast, people face alot of problems in the non-developmental areas. For example countryside are not safe alot of robbery cases are reported there. No proper amenities like no hospitals no supermarket. Roads are conjusted there. That's why population of the rural areas are decreasing because peoplre are moving to cities. From my perspective it's the responsbility of the government to develop rural areas and install all the amenitites there

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a position—calling the trend both positive and negative—and provide relevant reasons, including access to hospitals, supermarkets and safer streets in cities, as well as problems in rural areas. However, the position is not fully clear: most of the essay presents city migration as positive, while the negative effects are only briefly mentioned in the unfinished phrase about city “concentration and problems.” The examples are also general and need explanation or support. The conclusion shifts to the government’s responsibility without clearly weighing the overall development. The response is 10 words below the required minimum, and this limits the space available to develop your argument. State your overall judgement clearly and extend each main reason with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some paragraphing, and the response moves from an introduction to city-related benefits and then to rural disadvantages. Basic linking expressions such as “For instance,” “On the contrast,” and “That’s why” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, progression is not consistently clear: the paragraph about cities combines facilities, safety and an incomplete point about urban problems, while the final paragraph introduces a government recommendation without a clear concluding summary. Some links are repetitive or do not accurately express the relationship between ideas. Organise the essay around a clear sequence—your position, supporting reasons, counterpoint, and conclusion—and use references and transitions that make those relationships explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a range of task-related words, including “amenities,” “population,” “countryside,” and “responsibility,” so the reader can generally understand the topic. However, vocabulary is limited and several choices or spelling errors make the writing less clear or natural, such as “non developmental areas,” “convinient,” “conjusted,” and “expending.” Phrases such as “alot of facilities” and “cities are safe also here” are repetitive or awkward. Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, distinguish “urban areas” from “rural areas,” and use “access to services” rather than repeatedly referring to “amenities.” This would make your comparisons clearer and more academic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a reason clause in “That’s why a lot of people are shifting to cities.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “the population of the urban areas are increasing” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “In think” and “if some need any medical treatment in cities hospitals are open 24/7” show faulty sentence construction. Articles, plurals and punctuation are also inconsistent, and the sentence ending “the cities ar” is incomplete. Practise building complete sentences with one main idea, then check agreement and punctuation. More accurate complex sentences would help you explain causes and consequences.
