Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall view in the opening—“it has negative development”—and both body paragraphs identify relevant consequences, including pressure on housing and services in cities and reduced agricultural labour in villages. The Karachi slum example helps make the urban impact more concrete. However, the task is only partially addressed: the reasons for migration are listed rather than explained, and several effects are difficult to follow, such as the link between population growth and “the figure of houses decrease.” The Lahore example also needs clearer support and explanation. The response is 169 words, so it does not meet the required minimum of 250 words; this limits how fully you can develop and support your position. Explain each main consequence and connect it explicitly to why the trend is negative.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a sequence signalled by “To begin with” and “Secondly.” This gives the reader some indication of the essay’s direction. However, progression within the paragraphs is uneven, and several ideas are joined without clear relationships. For example, the first body paragraph moves from facilities to housing, tree removal, security, and privacy in a way that is hard to follow. The second combines labour shortages, unemployment, crowding, pollution, and the age profile of villages without developing a clear chain of reasoning. Use one central point per paragraph, then explain its cause and consequence. More precise linking and clearer references would make the organisation easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “lack of facilities,” “public transport,” “unemployment,” “slums,” and “pollution.” These choices show awareness of the subject, and the examples of Karachi and Lahore give you opportunities to use specific terms. However, the range is limited and frequent spelling, word-form, and collocation errors sometimes make meaning difficult to understand. Examples include “residant,” “tress,” “cutdowne,” “challangesand,” and “mot er opills” (intended as “metropolises”), as well as “the figure of houses decrease.” Aim for accurate, natural phrases such as “housing shortages” and “pressure on urban services.” Proofread spelling and choose collocations carefully so your ideas are communicated clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You communicate a general position and attempt some longer sentence patterns, including “countryside peoples moving to cities due to lack of facilities such as…” However, the range is limited, and frequent errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation can make parts difficult to interpret. For example, “urban areas population significantly increase” lacks a possessive form and has an incorrect verb form; “plants and tress cutdowne and build flats” does not form a complete, clear sentence; and “when young people move to cities in villiages only aged people and children remain” needs clearer clause boundaries and punctuation. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because,” “which,” or “as a result.”
