Student answer (Band 5.5)
Seeing the global debate on the issue of that in many nations around the world rural people are moving to cities and the population in rural areas is decreasing is common. Believing this is positive and favorable shift I will explain my perspective with examples.
Beginning my position on, people are moving to cities being a positive scenario, the main point is that cities have larger job and employment opportunities as well as transport infrastructure, better health and education system and entertainment places. There are large companies and small business in the cities that provide the better options for employment. For example, an individual with higher education may apply for suitable jobs. Cities have also transport facilities that are important for daily travelling.
Another justification is, there are better health and education system in the cities. For instance, a couple of universities and colleges are available in the city rather than a rural areas. people can benefit from these by achieving higher and schools education. people can go for an emergency treatment to the nearest hospital at any time. There are many places for entertainment in the city like museum, parks, shopping malls, cinemas, theatre. By going to the park a person may feel fresh and spent some alone time there.
In conclusion, some might consider that population is decreasing in the rural areas I am of opinion that moving to urban areas is beneficial because it has a lot of benefits of health and education and it provides the opportunities for growing a future and economy as well.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you consider rural-to-urban migration a positive development, and you give relevant reasons, including employment, transport, healthcare, education and recreation. The examples of a graduate seeking suitable work and people accessing hospitals help connect these points to everyday life. However, the reasons are not developed equally: employment and access to services are explained briefly, while the entertainment point is less clearly linked to why migration benefits society overall. The conclusion repeats your view but introduces economic growth without explaining how migration produces it. To strengthen the response, explain the effects of each reason and support the broader claims with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present supporting reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. This gives the reader an overall coherent route through the argument. However, some transitions sound mechanical or awkward, such as “Beginning my position on” and “Another justification is,” and the first sentence is difficult to follow. Within the second body paragraph, healthcare, education and entertainment are grouped together without a clear progression or enough explanation of their relationship. Use straightforward topic sentences, then develop one main idea at a time; clearer links between each example and its point would make the organisation more fluent.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “employment opportunities,” “transport infrastructure,” “emergency treatment” and “universities and colleges.” These choices make the main ideas understandable and show attempts to use more specific language. However, several phrases are unnatural or imprecise, such as “positive and favorable shift,” “better options for employment,” and “growing a future and economy.” There is also repetition of “cities” and “benefits,” and some word forms or collocations need attention, including “schools education” and “spent some alone time.” Aim for natural combinations and precise wording rather than adding multiple near-synonyms; this will make the argument sound more fluent and controlled.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, and most of the argument remains understandable. For example, “For example, an individual with higher education may apply for suitable jobs” is a clear sentence, while the final sentence attempts to combine a concession and your position. However, some sentence structures are faulty or incomplete, particularly the opening, “Seeing the global debate on the issue of that…,” and “Beginning my position on, people are moving to cities being a positive scenario.” There are also errors in articles, agreement and sentence boundaries, such as “a rural areas” and the lowercase starts “people can.” Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles, plurals and capitalisation.
