Student answer (Band 6.0)
In many nations round the global, people are considering city life over rural life. Due to that, the population is falling in the countryside areas. I believe it is a positive development because countryside areas often lack providing basic human needs and people consider cities for better opportunities.
People are moving towards cities because rural areas often lacks with basic needs such as clean water, electricity and INTERNET. They believe cities, especially big cities have more better facilities, compared with rural areas where there are only limited facilities. Moreover, INTERNET is also considered a basic need after food and water. Without INTERNET, people are less likely to connect to the world. But in rural area we often face signal issues that not only break the voice while calling but also often face internet speed issue and some of those areas do not even have any INTERNET facilities. For example, most of countryside areas in PAKISTAN often lack in terms of education and basic needs such as electricity, INTERNET and clean water supply. Although it reducing the population of countryside areas, people do not like to live in such places. If rural areas had provided basic facilities, people would have recommend to live in the hometownes.
Another reason why I believe it is positive development employment. People in general and students after graduation often move to cities to seek better employment opportunities. City-life provides opportunities to individuals to grow in their lives but in rural areas there are only limited options of employments and the pay is considerably low with the people normally be paid in cities. Everyone wants to improve his lifestyle and live a better life and cities offer them opportiunites to achieve this. For example, a graudated students will be more likely to recommend to do job in city in his relevant field rather than being unemployed or working on low salary in a village. This leads to another issue which is reduction in the population of rural areas. If salary or employment opportunites can be increased, then people will more likely to stay in village.
In conculsion, the popluation of the countryside areas is decreasing because people want to grow in their lives and they can be achieved by opportunities that cities provide and lack of basic facilities in rural areas.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider rural-to-urban migration positive because cities offer better opportunities and rural areas lack basic services. Both reasons are relevant, and the examples about access to electricity, clean water, internet and graduate employment help explain your view. The conclusion also returns to the main argument. This meets the task well, while some ideas are developed more fully than others: the discussion of basic services is detailed, but the employment point relies on broad claims about city life and low rural pay. To strengthen the response further, explain more specifically how these changes benefit people overall and acknowledge a possible cost, such as the loss of workers in rural communities, before explaining why your view remains positive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. The progression from basic services to employment is easy to follow, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “Another reason,” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. Some linking is mechanical or repetitive, however, particularly the repeated use of “For example” and “If” constructions. A few references are also unclear: “Although it reducing the population” does not clearly connect the population decline to the preceding point, and “this” in the final sentence could refer to more than one idea. Use more precise referencing and vary how you connect examples and explanations to make cohesion smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “basic needs,” “employment opportunities,” “population,” and “facilities,” and the reader can generally understand your argument. However, the range and control are limited by repeated or inaccurate expressions. Examples include “round the global,” “more better facilities,” “lack in terms of,” and “recommend to do job”; these are not natural or precise collocations. Spelling and word-form errors such as “opportiunites,” “graudated,” and “conculsion” also stand out. Aim to use a smaller number of accurate, natural phrases rather than repeating “opportunities” and “basic facilities.” Checking spelling and collocations carefully would make your meaning more fluent and precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including conditional forms such as “If rural areas had provided basic facilities…” and clauses beginning with “because” and “where.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main ideas remain understandable. Some grammatical errors persist, especially with subject–verb agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction. For example, “rural areas often lacks” should use a plural verb, while “Although it reducing” is missing a correctly formed verb phrase. “A graudated students will be more likely” also has a number-agreement problem. Review agreement and verb patterns, and proofread each sentence for a complete, correctly formed clause. More accurate complex sentences would improve control.
