Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, many countries in the world, farmer people are moving to towns, so the population in the countryside is declined, while it is negative effect for people lives and other facilities.
On the one hand, nonurban people have moved in cities, they can affect both lives because it creates problem urban and city area. The government could not manage the proper facilities. Furthermore, rural people provide the agriculture harvest for cities, it is benefit for overall the development. For example, if many farmers move to cities which can be effect the food production and harvest. Moreover, over population increased in cities, which can effect the traffic jams and air pollution.
On the other hand, when many people move to burg cities, it may difficult to find new houses. Every year, millions of people to move cities because they have more facilities available For instance, large cities such as Lahore often experience heavy traffic, especially during busy hour.
In conclusion, I believe that this is a negative development bacause it reduce agriculture production and creates the serious problem in cities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is identifiable: you consider rural-to-urban migration negative, and you give relevant reasons, including reduced food production and pressure on city services, traffic and housing. However, the response addresses the task only partially because these points are mostly asserted rather than explained or supported. The paragraph beginning “On the other hand” introduces housing difficulty but does not clearly develop how this supports your overall position; the example of Lahore’s traffic is also not linked fully to the argument. The conclusion repeats your view but adds little. The response is 179 words, so it does not meet the 250-word minimum. Develop each reason with a clear explanation and a specific example, and make the relationship between every paragraph and your position explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some basic organisation: you state your view, use two body paragraphs, and provide a concluding sentence. Linking phrases such as “On the one hand,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” help signal stages of the response. However, the overall progression is not clear because the second body paragraph begins “On the other hand” without presenting a convincing contrasting position, then shifts to migration’s causes and a traffic example. Several ideas are placed together without showing how they connect, as in the first body paragraph’s movement from facilities to agriculture and then pollution. Some linking is also inaccurate or mechanical. Plan one main point per paragraph, use transitions that reflect the actual relationship between ideas, and add clear references explaining how examples support your claims.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a small range of topic-related vocabulary, including “agriculture,” “food production,” “over population,” “traffic jams,” and “air pollution,” so the reader can generally identify your subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to follow. For example, “farmer people” is not a natural way to describe rural residents, “burg cities” is unclear, and “it is benefit for overall the development” does not express the intended idea precisely. Repetition of “cities,” “move,” and “effect” also limits flexibility. Build a bank of accurate phrases for migration and its consequences, and check collocations and word forms. More precise vocabulary would make your arguments clearer without requiring unnecessarily advanced words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if many farmers move to cities” and clauses introduced by “which” and “because.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently, sometimes making relationships between ideas difficult to understand. For instance, “the population in the countryside is declined” has an incorrect verb form, while “when many people move to burg cities, it may difficult” is missing a verb construction. Agreement and sentence structure are also problematic in “it reduce agriculture production and creates the serious problem.” Several sentences join clauses without clear grammatical control, such as “On the one hand, nonurban people have moved in cities, they can affect both lives.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, verb forms, articles, and complete clause structures before adding more complex sentences.
