Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You do express a view that city life is preferable, and you give relevant reasons, including access to jobs, schools and hospitals. However, the response addresses the question only minimally: it does not clearly explain whether the movement from rural areas is positive or negative, and the final sentence says only that rural people lack facilities. The claims that city life is “amazing” and “peacefull” are not supported with examples or explanation, while the difficulties of rural life are listed rather than developed. The response is also 124 words below the required minimum, leaving too little space to explain your position and support it. State your judgement directly, then develop two reasons with specific examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to group ideas: the first paragraph discusses rural life, the second turns to city life, and the final sentence gives a brief conclusion. This gives the reader some sense of the intended comparison. However, progression is limited, and the final paragraph repeats the point that rural people lack facilities rather than drawing the argument together. Connections between ideas are often unclear, and there are few linking expressions to show contrast or cause and effect. For example, “Now cities life was amazing life” marks a shift, but does not explain how the city’s advantages answer the question. Use clear paragraphs for your position, reasons and conclusion, and connect each reason to its effect.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
You use a small set of relevant words, such as “rural,” “cities,” “work,” “school” and “hospital,” so the general topic is recognisable. However, vocabulary is basic and repetitive, and frequent spelling errors make several phrases difficult to understand, including “excelnt,” “dificalt,” “unempolymant” and “life stail.” Some word combinations are also unclear, such as “working in compansy” and “education also giving to your kids.” Build a more accurate range for discussing migration and its effects, and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as employment opportunities, public services and access to education would help you explain your ideas clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The response mainly uses short, simple statements, with little variety in sentence structure. Frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries sometimes distort meaning. For example, “cities life was amazing life” has an unclear noun phrase and verb form, while “all people was living” does not use the correct agreement or tense. Several sentences are joined or punctuated incorrectly, as in “In many countries rural people are moving to cities.rural life…”; this makes the ideas harder to follow. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use accurate present-tense patterns to describe general facts. Then try adding simple clauses with “because” or “although.”
