Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a clear opinion—“I think it is positive development”—and mention relevant themes such as employment, living conditions and health. However, the response only minimally answers the question because these points are mostly asserted rather than explained or supported with examples. The discussion of rural opportunities does not clearly show how it affects your overall judgement, and the conclusion is confusing: it says people are “moving to countryside,” which conflicts with the prompt and your earlier position. The response also contains 208 words, below the required 250, so there is not enough space to develop the argument. To strengthen the response, explain two or three reasons in detail, connect each to whether rural-to-urban migration is positive or negative, and give a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, so there is an attempt to organise the answer into a recognisable essay structure. Basic signposts such as “To commence with,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help indicate paragraph roles. However, the ideas do not progress clearly: the second body paragraph shifts to benefits of rural life without explaining how this relates to your stated positive view, and the conclusion introduces a contradictory direction of migration. Some links, including “However,” do not show a clear contrast between the sentences they connect. Build each paragraph around one main point, explain it in sequence, and use linking expressions only when their relationship is accurate.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “globalization,” “urban areas,” “climate change,” “pollution” and “stable income,” which gives you a useful starting range for this topic. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “To commence with.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive, as in “better condition,” “right to breath clean” and “health related problems.” Several spelling errors—“polloution,” “soem,” “opperunities” and “sucessful”—also reduce clarity and control. Aim for natural combinations such as “better living conditions,” “breathe clean air” and “health problems,” and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain your reasons rather than relying on broad claims.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a relative clause in “which was helpful for them” and a contrastive sentence beginning “although.” This shows some willingness to vary structure. However, the range remains limited, and errors are frequent enough to make several sentences awkward or unclear. For example, “Some individuals moving to cities” lacks a finite verb, while “they causes” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. The opening also needs an article in “it is positive development,” and the final sentence has an unclear grammatical relationship between its clauses. Practise complete subject–verb sentences, agreement, articles and clause construction, then proofread each sentence to ensure its meaning is clear.
