Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, people in may countries are moving from rular areas to to cities. The main reason for this movemnent are better jobs and opportunities, education and healthcare facilities. Although there are benefits to living in cities, I believe that the decreasing population in rural area is a not a positive development.
First of all, when people leave villages and move to cities, it can be affected agricultur. Most of the population in countryside do work in fields and look-after their animals. If young generation of rural areas move to cities, they may be fewer workers available to work in farms. Concequently, agriculture and poultry production may decreased. For example, if the number of residents becomes decreases, the local shops and businesses may suffer.
Secondaly, cities offers better jobs and education, modren hosptials and other households facilities which are not available in rural area. Cities aslo give employee opportunities for young people. For this reason, many people move to urban areas to provide a better future for their families and themselves. For instance, some students want to get higher education, but it is not possible in countryside. As a result, they may migrate to urbam areas.
However, an increasing urban population can cause traffic congestion, air pullotion and higher house costs. Therefore, moving to urban cities is not always a solution. Government should also improve education, healthcare and emloyment opportunities in rural areas.
In conclusion, although moving cities can provide better oppotunities, the continous declined in the rural population has several disadvantages. In my opinion, government should also improve villages so that people of rural areas can enjoy a better qulity of life without leaving their hometown.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you consider the decline in rural populations negative, while acknowledging why people move to cities. You address relevant consequences, especially the possible shortage of farm workers, and offer a practical response by recommending better rural services and employment. These points meet the task, but they are not developed equally. The agricultural argument would be stronger with a clearer explanation of how fewer workers affect food supply or local livelihoods; the example about local shops appears without a clear link to the preceding claim. The paragraph on urban advantages explains migration but does not fully weigh those benefits against your position. Extend each main idea with a specific explanation or example to make the argument more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “Secondaly,” “However” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of your argument. Overall, the reader can follow your position and the main points. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The example about local shops follows a discussion of farm labour without explaining the relationship, and the paragraph beginning “Secondaly” focuses mainly on reasons for migration rather than clearly advancing the negative-development argument. There is also a run-together sentence at “themselves. For instance.” Use linking expressions more selectively and make each paragraph’s central point explicit, then connect examples directly to that point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “agriculture,” “poultry production,” “traffic congestion” and “healthcare,” and you attempt some less common expressions such as “urban population” and “employment opportunities.” This gives you an adequate range to discuss rural-to-urban migration. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural word combinations are noticeable, for example “rular,” “movemnent,” “air pullotion” and “higher house costs.” Phrases such as “cities offers better jobs” and “moving to urban cities” also show that some word choices or forms are not well controlled. These errors do not prevent the main message from being understood, but they reduce precision. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations, such as “housing costs” and “move to urban areas.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “If young generation of rural areas move to cities” and a concession in “Although there are benefits to living in cities.” The overall meaning is generally clear, and the response includes a range of sentence purposes. Some grammatical errors remain, however. Subject–verb agreement is inaccurate in “cities offers,” and the conditional clause needs a plural subject and matching verb. There are also problems with articles and number, as in “in rural area,” and with verb forms in “production may decreased.” The sentence “it can be affected agricultur” has an unclear grammatical construction. Review agreement, articles and verb patterns, and proofread sentence boundaries; this will make your varied structures more consistently accurate.
