Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, there has been repid movement among rural people to cities. In many countrise rural individuals are moving to urban area for better opportunityes and good facilities. From my point of view this will lead to negative impact on countries because this surden movement rise the urban population and harm food supply chain because of shotage of foods.
The key reasons behind moving individuals rural to urban area are better finance opportunities and morden facilites. In maga citys, there are many companys who offers employees a good salry for work and they gets better working environment. Futhermore, moving to maga city dut to sake of the batter facilities and morden environmoent are one of the major reasons for shift. Governments also fouse on urba area development rather then rural area. India is the one of the great example of this. In India rural people have been moving to uraben area because they believe that there are best opportunitys in ural area and the sake of better future.
However, there are many reasons why this creat negative impact on urban area. Firstlay, this sudden rise in population of urban areas will lead to shortage of food and houses. Dut to shotage of foos and houses, the price of goods and services will rise which lead to burden on goverments. Futheremore, Shifting to rural to urban area will reduce the poplulation in rural area. Although, the number of farmer will reduce and there will be shotage in food supply which will increases depandency on othere country. The clear example of this is Pakistan. In Pakistan most of rural individuas have been move to urban area which leads to shotage of foods and also rise the price of goods and services.
In conculsion, there are no simple answer of this because there are several good reasons for shift. However there are some bad impact of moving to urban area.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall view that rural-to-urban migration is negative, and you support it with relevant concerns about pressure on housing and food supplies. The examples of India and Pakistan also help connect your argument to real contexts. However, the response only partly develops the task: much of the second paragraph explains why people move, rather than fully showing why the overall development is positive or negative. The final paragraph also weakens your position by saying there is “no simple answer” and mentioning “good reasons for shift,” without clarifying whether these outweigh the harms. Develop the consequences with specific explanation and maintain an unequivocal position throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on reasons for migration, a paragraph on its negative effects, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “However,” and “In conclusion” make the main stages easy to follow. However, progression is sometimes mechanical, and some connections between ideas are unclear. For example, the sentence beginning “Although, the number of farmer will reduce” does not form a clear contrast, and the relationship between migration, food shortages, and dependence on other countries needs to be explained more smoothly. The conclusion also introduces a mixed position rather than clearly drawing together the argument. Use clearer references and connect each consequence explicitly to the central view.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “urban population,” “food supply,” “shortage,” and “dependency,” which helps communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling, and collocation errors make parts of the response difficult to read, such as “surden movement,” “better finance opportunities,” and “sake of the batter facilities.” Repeated use of “shortage,” “moving,” and “better” also limits precision. Aim to learn accurate topic phrases and check spelling carefully; for example, describe “employment opportunities” and “modern facilities” rather than relying on approximate forms. More precise vocabulary would make your cause-and-effect argument clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including cause-and-effect structures with “because” and “which,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction frequently interrupt clarity. For instance, “there are many companys who offers employees” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “the price of goods and services will rise which lead to burden” contains errors in the relative clause and article use. The final sentence, “there are no simple answer,” also shows a number-agreement error. Practise building accurate sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check that each verb agrees with its subject.
