Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address the question by presenting both advantages and disadvantages of rural-to-urban migration, and your preference for countryside living is stated in the introduction and conclusion. Relevant points include easier access to shops, hospitals and transport in cities, as well as congestion and health concerns. However, the position is not fully consistent: you discuss both sides but do not clearly state whether the overall development is positive or negative until the conclusion, and the opening says you like country life rather than directly answering the question. Several claims, such as city residents becoming sick or rural people having better health, need clearer explanation or a specific, credible example. Develop fewer points in more detail and link them explicitly to your overall judgement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
Your response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “on the one hand” and “in conclusion” help signal the structure. The reader can generally identify the contrast between city conveniences and countryside benefits. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow: the second body paragraph moves from congestion to habits, food, affordability, begging and illness without clear links. Some connectors are inaccurate or repetitive, including “one the other side” and repeated uses of “then” and “becouse.” Organise each paragraph around one main idea, use clear topic sentences, and explain how each example supports that idea. This would make the overall argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “transport service,” “super market,” “rush,” “dust” and “fresh airs,” so the reader can recognise the subject matter. However, the range is basic and repetitive, and frequent spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make meaning difficult to interpret. Examples include “socity,” “speaces,” “chemicle food,” “bagers” and “sicking.” Several phrases are also unnatural, such as “city going to be a rush” and “people are life style going to be a easy.” Build a more accurate set of expressions for migration and urban conditions, and check spelling and collocations. For instance, describe “heavy traffic” or “overcrowding” rather than relying on “rush.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the response uses basic linking structures such as “because” and “but.” However, grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “The house are can manage to easy,” “people are moving to city,” and “they have both side good and bad.” There are recurring problems with articles, subject–verb agreement, verb forms, plurals and sentence boundaries; for example, “The city has a grocery shops” combines an incorrect article with a plural noun. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then join them with one clear subordinate clause. Pay particular attention to articles, agreement and punctuation, and proofread each sentence for a complete subject and verb.
