Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's contemporary era, cities are becoming developed and getting advance in every sector that is attracting rural people to shift to cities and enjoy life, but it is effecting population in countryside which is decreasing. Many expert suggest this is positive development for society, but it lead to over crowd in cities.
Further, there are several detrimental effect of migration from rural to city. Firstly, it increase chaos and start felling unwelling in this environment because rural area are so quite and peaceful. Secondly, it also affect the environment of cities and increase pollution is damage ecosystem and finally, ubiquitously people migrate to city in search of job that will lead to unemployment for city people.
In addition, it will very difficult to fulfill all necessities and of public due to increase in population an. In contrast, some case moving to cities will improve life style of rural people and they will get develop and get chance to improve there financial. In some degree it will also help companies in term of consumption.
In conclusion, although there are so many advantage but cons overweight the pros, but having migration in small quantity is not wrong, but there should more development in rural area so they will not migrate to cities . I my perspective this is negative development this will stop development in countryside and will only focus on cities. So although there is development but is giving benefit to one side of people only and ignoring other rural mass.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You answer the question directly and maintain a clear view that rural-to-urban migration is mainly negative, especially in the conclusion. Relevant reasons include pressure on city services, pollution, unemployment and the loss of development in rural areas. You also acknowledge benefits, such as improved opportunities and finances for migrants, which helps address both sides of the issue. However, some points are asserted rather than explained: for example, the link between migration and unemployment among city residents needs a clearer explanation or an example. The benefits to companies are also mentioned briefly without showing how they affect your overall judgement. Develop fewer points with specific examples and make the comparison between advantages and disadvantages more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on disadvantages, a paragraph that introduces benefits, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “In addition,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, particularly where several effects are joined in one sentence, such as the claims about pollution, ecosystem damage and unemployment. The contrast paragraph also shifts quickly from difficulties meeting public needs to benefits for migrants and companies. Use clearer topic sentences and separate distinct ideas into sentences; ensure that contrast markers such as “In contrast” connect ideas that are genuinely being contrasted.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “migration,” “detrimental,” “ecosystem,” “necessities” and “development.” This gives you some range beyond basic everyday language. However, inaccurate word forms, spelling and collocations are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning harder to understand. Examples include “getting advance,” “effecting population,” “over crowd,” and “felling unwelling.” Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “improve there financial” and “in term of consumption.” Aim to learn vocabulary in accurate phrases, not as isolated words, and check spelling and word forms during revision. More precise choices for urban pressures and rural opportunities would make the argument clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and attempts at longer, complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “that” and “although.” This shows an effort to vary sentence structure. However, errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction recur, and some long sentences become difficult to follow. For instance, “Many expert suggest this is positive development” has problems with plural agreement and article use, while “it increase chaos” and “it will very difficult” show errors in verb forms and sentence structure. The final sentence also combines several ideas without clear grammatical boundaries. Practise checking each clause for a subject and correctly formed verb, and use full stops to divide complex arguments into manageable sentences.
