Student answer (Band 5.5)
It has been observed that in several nations across the globe, the people living in villages are migrating to urban areas; consequently, the inhabitants in the non-urban areas decling. I persume that benefits of this trend would surpass its drawbacks to a major extent. My position is elaborated further with reasons and relevant examples.
One of the foremost reasons is the people belonging to villages will be exposed to various benefits like educational facilities, employment options, socialising with different people belonging to different fields. As, the residents of rural areas are more into agricultural works than towards education as a result, they remain uneducated. For example, their forefathers wanted their children and grandchildren to take up their work and they resume it. Therefore, instead of exploring more jobs they stick to it and may not get acknowledge by other fields.
As we are leading towards the digital technology given that, the second reason is related to it; since, non-urban individuals will get a chance to expose to modern technologies which while staying in their hometown, they donot get a chance to experience it. While taking benefits from digital era, their knowledge may get improved and they become aware of different technological devices like laptops, smartphones, tablets and ipads. For instance, their enchanced awareness will provide them confidence to deal with these devices and people around them. Besides, this will help them in their jobs too.
In conclusion, I will concede that the tendency of relocating to cities is fruitful for rural population. As, it provides them opportunity to be social to successful personalities which encourages them to work hard. Furthermore, it offers them to be able to understand the information and communication technology.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you consider rural-to-urban migration beneficial, and both body paragraphs give relevant reasons—greater access to education and employment, followed by exposure to technology. The examples about family expectations and access to devices help connect these points to rural residents’ lives. However, the ideas are not developed equally or fully. The first paragraph suggests that agricultural families may remain uneducated, but does not explain how moving to a city changes this or acknowledge possible barriers. The technology paragraph lists devices and confidence, yet the link to broader benefits is general. To strengthen the response, explain the effects more specifically and support them with a concrete example, while also briefly recognising a drawback before reaffirming your view.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction states your view, two paragraphs present reasons, and a conclusion restates the position. This gives the essay an overall coherent arrangement. You also use signposts such as “One of the foremost reasons,” “For instance,” and “In conclusion” to guide the reader. At times, however, connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening of the second body paragraph, “As we are leading towards the digital technology given that,” is difficult to follow, and “As” at the start of the conclusion creates an awkward link. Some references, such as “this” in “this will help them in their jobs,” could identify the idea more precisely. Use simpler transitions and make each paragraph’s central point and supporting explanation progress in a clear sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “migrating,” “employment options,” “agricultural,” “digital technology,” and “communication technology.” These choices show an effort to use language beyond basic terms, and the overall meaning remains understandable. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “the inhabitants … declining,” “get acknowledge by other fields,” “expose to modern technologies,” and “social to successful personalities” do not express the intended meanings naturally. There are also spelling errors such as “persume,” “decling,” and “enchanced.” Aim for accurate, conventional combinations and check spelling carefully. For example, describe people as “being exposed to” technology and say that qualifications or skills are “recognised by employers.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “as,” “since,” and “while,” and your main position is generally understandable. However, control is uneven, particularly in longer sentences where clauses are joined or punctuated awkwardly. For example, “As, the residents of rural areas are more into agricultural works than towards education as a result, they remain uneducated” combines several ideas without a clear grammatical structure. “As we are leading towards the digital technology given that, the second reason is related to it” is also difficult to parse. There are some errors in articles, agreement, and sentence construction, as in “it provides them opportunity.” Build complex sentences around one clear main clause, use commas to separate clauses correctly, and review article use and subject–verb agreement.
