Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the modern era, most of the individuals migrating to the cities result of this the rural area becoming a empty place. according to my perspective it is a negative development for the people and for the cities.
Firstly, People start to migrating in cities because they feel there are more facilities are available rather than the countryside area. This decision good for the rural people but it mainly impacted the surburb area because they have facing lots of difficulties.
for example, The flats and appartment rates rise high because of lack of accomodation and people cannot find the place for living. and secondly the pollution will increase day by day with large traffic jams.
Furthermore the employment are decline day by day because the manpower is more than the sufficient need result of this individuals face unemployement which result they work on the lower salary which is not match their skills and experiences.
for example, crimes are increased because of people donot have any source of income then they find the way to get income , snatching , robbery are grow rapidly. Urban area people face the lack of daily need things problems because of increase the demand and decrease the supply of goods.
Allover the passage says that migration is good for the people who get the facilities in cities but result of migration the person who already stay the area where all facilities are available get impacted with many ways.
Migration provides a negative impact on the urban area.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall judgement that rural-to-urban migration is negative, and you offer relevant consequences, including pressure on housing, traffic and pollution, unemployment, and crime. These points show an understanding of the topic. However, the response only partly develops the question: the opening briefly says migration benefits rural people, but this positive side is not explained, and several negative effects are asserted rather than supported. For instance, the link between a larger workforce and lower wages is mentioned but not illustrated or explained in detail. The conclusion repeats the negative view without drawing together the main reasons. Develop two or three key effects with clearer cause-and-effect reasoning and a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an identifiable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Firstly” and “Furthermore” help show that you are adding points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and the links between ideas are not always clear. The first body paragraph moves from rural residents’ reasons for moving to housing costs and pollution without explaining each connection. The second combines employment, crime and shortages of daily necessities, making it feel like a list rather than a developed argument. Some linking phrases, including “Allover the passage,” are awkward or unclear. Organise each paragraph around one main effect, then explain and exemplify it; use referencing and transitions to show how each sentence relates to that focus.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “facilities,” “accommodation,” “pollution,” “unemployment” and “demand and supply,” so the reader can generally identify your intended points. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate enough to make parts of the argument harder to understand. Examples include “the rural area becoming a empty place,” “the employment are decline,” and “snatching, robbery are grow rapidly.” Spelling errors such as “surburb,” “appartment” and “donot” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling: for example, describe “pressure on urban housing” or “a rise in property rents,” rather than relying on broad or awkward expressions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including cause-and-effect structures with “because” and “which,” but control is inconsistent. Frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction sometimes make the reader work to understand the point. For example, “People start to migrating” needs a correct verb pattern, while “the employment are decline” has problems with both the subject and verb. The opening also joins separate ideas with a full stop and a lower-case “according,” and several sentences begin with capital letters after commas or full stops inconsistently. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Careful proofreading for articles, verb forms and sentence boundaries would make your ideas clearer.
