Student answer (Band 6.0)

The growing trend of rural people are moving to cities this leads to population in the countryside is decreasing has become increansingly noticeable in many countries around the world. In my opinion, this is positive development because they have good carrer opportunities and better healthcare facilities.

The main reason why I consider this is a positive development because people can find better job opportunities in cities. This is because cities has many job prospects and it is developed very well. For instance, people who completed their graduation they can move to city to get better job opportunities and to earn high competative salaries. Another important reason is that people may receive better healthcare facilities, which means that they can get better treatment and appointment easily. As a result, moving to cities to get better carrer prospects and good medication.

Furthermore, better education strengthens my arguments. This is particularly because children can access better schools and colleges allowing students to gain knowledge and skills. In addition, economic growth can also have a significant impact as when people move to cities and join the workforce, they can contribute to businesses, industries and the national economy. For example, workers in factories and companies help increase production and provide services. Therefore, people may gain knowledge and skills and it improves the economy growth as well.

In conclusion, I believe that people are moving to cities, so the population in the countryside is decreasing is a positive development because to get better carrer opportunities, better health care facilities and for education they have better equipments to do and it enhances economy growth.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider rural-to-urban migration positive, and you maintain that view in the conclusion. You address several relevant reasons—employment, healthcare, education and economic growth—and support them with examples such as graduates seeking work and factory employees increasing production. This fully covers the central question and shows some development beyond a simple opinion. However, the reasons are not equally explained: the healthcare point is brief, and the link between fewer rural residents and national economic growth is asserted rather than demonstrated. To strengthen the response further, explain how these benefits outweigh possible disadvantages for rural communities, and develop each example with a clearer cause-and-effect link.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The first body paragraph groups employment and healthcare, while the second adds education and economic growth; this gives the reader a coherent overall route through your reasons. Linking expressions such as “For instance,” “Furthermore” and “In addition” help signal examples and additions. At times, however, cohesion feels mechanical or the relationship between ideas is unclear. “As a result” introduces a sentence fragment, and the final sentence of the second body paragraph repeats the preceding points rather than drawing them together smoothly. Use complete sentences and vary how you connect explanations, examples and consequences.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “job prospects,” “healthcare facilities,” “workforce,” “industries” and “national economy.” These choices show an attempt to discuss employment, public services and economic effects rather than relying only on basic terms. However, several noticeable spelling and word-choice problems reduce precision: “increansingly,” “carrer,” “competative” and “equipments” are inaccurate, and “better medication” is not a natural way to describe access to medical care. Some phrases are also repetitive, particularly “better job opportunities” and “better healthcare facilities.” Check spelling carefully, learn common collocations as complete phrases, and choose precise alternatives such as “medical treatment” and “economic growth.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex forms, including a relative clause in “healthcare facilities, which means that…” and a conditional-style explanation beginning “when people move to cities.” Some sentences communicate their meaning clearly, and the overall argument remains understandable. However, there are frequent errors in sentence construction and agreement. The opening sentence joins several clauses without a workable structure; “cities has” should use a plural verb, and “people who completed their graduation they can move” contains an unnecessary second subject. “As a result, moving to cities…” is a fragment, while the conclusion’s “because to get…” construction is also faulty. Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then check subject–verb agreement and clause boundaries.
