Student answer (Band 4.5)
Most of the world's population lives in cities, which affects the rural population, making it smaller. In my opinion, I think it is a negative development and a result of several things.
In the world of technology and Artificial Intelligence, the world splits into a rural world who deos not get enough attention it deserves, with no rural space, several things will easily disappear, also the organic supplements and the natural growth of animals and the agricultural side will be damaged. For example, if a group of rural farmers makes the decision to move out to the cities, the enterprises will lose their raw material suppliers if it is true, the price will increase, which affects ordinary people and the country's economy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a clear view—“it is a negative development”—and give a relevant consequence: fewer rural farmers could reduce supplies to businesses, raise prices, and affect the economy. However, the response addresses the question only partially. The explanation about technology and “organic supplements” is unclear, and the effects on rural communities are not developed with specific support. The response also ends after “In addition,” without completing the point or providing a conclusion. The required minimum of 250 words is not met; at 124 words, there is too little development to explain your reasons fully. To improve, complete the essay, explain two distinct effects in detail, and support them with a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening gives your opinion, and the next paragraph introduces supporting ideas. The example beginning “For example” also signals an illustration. However, the overall progression is incomplete: the final paragraph starts with “In addition,” but contains no further idea, and there is no concluding paragraph. Within the main paragraph, several points are joined into one long sentence, making the relationship between technology, rural life, farming, and prices difficult to follow. Use separate paragraphs for each main reason, develop each point before moving on, and use linking expressions only where they clearly show the connection between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “rural population,” “farmers,” “raw material suppliers,” and “country’s economy,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and some choices are inaccurate or unclear. “Organic supplements” does not clearly express the agricultural resource you appear to mean, while “the agricultural side” is vague. “The world splits into a rural world” is also an awkward way to describe the contrast between rural and urban areas. Spelling errors such as “deos” further reduce accuracy. Aim for precise topic language and check spelling; for example, refer to “agricultural production” or “rural communities” when those are your intended meanings.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response includes some simple structures and attempts a more complex conditional sentence: “if a group of rural farmers makes the decision to move out to the cities, the enterprises will lose…” This shows an effort to explain cause and effect. However, the range is limited, and the long sentence beginning “In the world of technology…” contains several clauses joined without clear grammatical boundaries. The opening “In my opinion, I think” is also unnecessarily repetitive, and the sentence ending “if it is true” is not integrated clearly into the conditional structure. Use shorter, complete sentences and practise combining clauses with accurate punctuation and conjunctions. This will make your reasoning easier to understand.
