Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is identifiable: you consider rural-to-urban migration a negative development, and you give relevant reasons, including pressure on city traffic and health and the importance of rural food production. These points show that you understand the question. However, the response addresses the issue only partially because several ideas are difficult to interpret or are asserted without explanation. For example, you mention that rural residents grow wheat and rice, but do not clearly explain how their departure affects food supply or the wider economy. The proposed government action—providing facilities in rural areas—is relevant, but its likely effect is not developed. State your position clearly in the introduction and explain each main reason with a specific example or consequence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas are broadly grouped: rural contributions are discussed before the effects of city growth. This gives the reader some overall organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and linking expressions do not always show the relationship between ideas. For instance, “However” introduces a point about authorities that is not clearly contrasted with the preceding claim, while “At secondly” is an inaccurate transition. Several sentences combine multiple points without clear connections, making the argument hard to follow. Use one central idea per paragraph, arrange supporting details in a clear sequence, and use simple links such as “as a result” or “for example” only where their meaning fits.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “population,” “economy,” “traffic issues,” and “health diseases,” and you try to express ideas about rural production and urban pressures. However, the range is limited and many word choices, collocations and spellings are inaccurate, sometimes making the intended meaning difficult to understand. Phrases such as “simple individual,” “big country” for a city, and “big conspution of food” are unclear or unsuitable in context. Repeated use of general words such as “problem,” “people” and “different” also limits precision. Build a small set of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and word forms; prioritise clear, natural expressions over ambitious wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You make some attempts to form longer sentences and use clauses, but control is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response difficult to follow. For example, “In my perspective is the nagetive struggle in countries” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “the big city is quickly increase the population” has an incorrect verb form. Subject–verb agreement, articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “people is much hard working men” and the long sentence beginning “To began, first of all.” Most sentences are not yet reliably accurate. Practise building clear simple sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time, checking verb forms, agreement and punctuation.
