Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the contemporary era, people always try to moving from remote area to modern big cities, which leads to the population reduction in the countryside.. It happens due to the better quality of life in the cities compared to rural areas. I think it has both positive and negative impacts, while negative outcomes are higher than positives.
Typically, people in the countryside involve in agriculture and self-employment. Most of the time, these people actively contribute to the economy of the country by producing human basic needs such as rice, vegetables, furniture and many more. So, decreasing the population can be affect the productivity, which leads to numerous problems to the economy. Reduction in overall production leads to increase demand and cost of goods. People may not be able to afford them. Consequently, the economy and the quality of life of the people may be delined. Moreover, decline the number of population leads to reduction in human resources. As a result demand for workers will increase and subsequently price of relevenat goods will increase with the time.
Furthermore, rural areas will be solitude gradually. So no one gets benefits from natural resources, while demand for them will increase in town areas due to high concentration of individuals. However, the population reduction is good for the environment. The environmantal pollution is limited but it increases in cities simulteneously due to the higher number of population.
In conclusion, I think nowadays rural people are moving to cities, which leads to increase the population in town area alongside decreasing the number in the countryside. The negative impact is higher compare to the positive aspect.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address the question and state a consistent overall view: although rural-to-urban migration may benefit the environment, you believe its negative effects are greater. The discussion of reduced agricultural output and possible effects on prices is relevant, and the environmental point gives some balance. However, several claims are asserted rather than explained—for example, the link between fewer rural residents and rising demand or costs is not fully clear. The point that rural areas become “solitude” is also difficult to interpret, and the positive environmental effect receives much less development than the negative effects. To strengthen the response, explain each cause-and-effect link more precisely and support the main points with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph focused mainly on economic disadvantages, a paragraph introducing environmental benefits, and a conclusion that restates your position. Linking expressions such as “Consequently,” “Moreover,” and “However” help show relationships between ideas. At times, though, the progression becomes mechanical or unclear. For instance, the sequence from reduced production to increased demand, then worker shortages and higher prices repeats similar consequences without clearly distinguishing them. “Furthermore” introduces a point about rural areas that is not fully connected to the preceding economic discussion. Use topic sentences to signal each paragraph’s main purpose, and make references such as “them” and “these people” more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of topic-related vocabulary, including “agriculture,” “productivity,” “human resources,” “natural resources,” and “environmental pollution.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and you attempt some less common expressions. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, word forms, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make meaning unclear. Examples include “human basic needs,” “the population reduction,” “solitude,” “delined,” “relevenat,” and “simulteneously.” Some phrases, such as “price of goods will increase with the time,” are also unnatural. Aim for precise, conventional collocations and check spelling carefully; this will make your argument easier to follow and show more secure control of vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including cause-and-effect clauses with “which leads to” and “As a result,” and a contrast introduced by “while.” Most of the intended meaning remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur across the response. For example, “people always try to moving” has an incorrect verb pattern, and “decreasing the population can be affect the productivity” has an incorrect modal construction. There are also problems with agreement and sentence formation in “Moreover, decline the number of population leads to reduction.” The opening contains an extra full stop, and some sentences use articles or plurals inconsistently. Practise accurate verb patterns, clause construction, and punctuation while retaining your attempts at complex sentences.
