Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You discuss both the attractions of cities and some qualities of village life, and your personal example about moving for education is relevant. However, the task asks you to decide whether this trend is positive or negative, while your conclusion says it is “neither a good or bad development.” This leaves your position unclear, and the essay does not explain the overall effects of rural depopulation, such as consequences for village services or city growth. Several points—better facilities, lifestyle, and family ties—are listed but not developed with clear explanations or examples. To strengthen the response, state a definite view in the introduction and conclusion, then support two or three reasons that directly evaluate the development.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an opening, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. “On the other hand” signals a contrast, and the personal example gives the second body paragraph a clear focus. However, the progression between ideas is sometimes difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from education and healthcare to driving distances, personality, shopping, and food without showing how each point supports the argument. The phrase “According to the first school of thought” is also an awkward and unclear transition. The conclusion introduces a new prediction about people returning to their grandparents’ homes rather than drawing together the essay’s main points. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each supporting detail explicitly to your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “urban areas,” “rural area,” “advanced facilities,” and “quality education,” so the reader can understand the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “the population havi falling,” “decent personality,” and “better realtions.” Spelling errors, including “Beacuse,” “variuos,” and “childerns,” also make the writing less clear and polished. Some expressions are vague, for example “several kind of benefits” and “better life.” Aim for more precise phrases to describe the effects of migration, and check spelling and word forms carefully. This will help you express your ideas with less effort for the reader.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make the reader pause. For example, “the people from the villages are tend to move” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “Urban areas offers” has subject–verb disagreement. Other examples include “You can also better realtions” and “We belongs from a village,” where the sentence structures and verb forms are faulty. Articles, plurals, and punctuation also need attention, as in “In village” and the missing spaces after full stops. Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then add subordinate clauses using patterns such as “because” and “although.” Proofread each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
