Student answer (Band 6.5)
In many countries of the world, rural people are relocating to cities, resulting in the declining of the countryside population. I believe that this is the positive development because cities could provide better employment opportunities, and they offer better education and healthcare facilities.
One major benefit of moving to cities is that it could assist in providing wide employment opportunities. This is because rural people have very limited job options in rural areas. They usually work in agriculture and earn little, which makes it difficult for them to feed their family. Moving to city areas could provide many employment choices in different areas through which they can earn decent amount .This can assist them to live a better life and make it convenient to support their family. For example, a worker who lives in a rural area is just limited to work in fields. By moving to the city, he can work in different sectors, such as industries.
Another important factor is that cities could offer better education as well as healthcare facilities. This is because cities have improved institutions and hospitals, which fulfill every basic need of the citizens. Teachers in urban institutes are highly educated and experienced, and classrooms have better infrastructure, which is not provided by rural institutes. In addition, healthcare facilities in cities make treatment more convenient. Hospitals contain an experienced staff and modern equipment. This equipment speeds up the detection and treatment process. As a result, it could improve people's quality of life.
In conclusion, the migration of rural people to cities is a positive development because it offers many job choices and improves people's lives by providing them better education and health facilities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the introduction to the conclusion: you consider rural-to-urban migration positive because it can improve employment, education and healthcare. Both main reasons are relevant and supported with explanations, such as the contrast between agricultural work and jobs in other sectors, and the description of better-equipped urban hospitals. This clear focus and development fit the task well. To strengthen the response further, make the support more precise and less general. For instance, the claim that urban institutions “fulfill every basic need” is broad, and the employment example could explain more specifically how access to varied work improves people’s prospects. A brief acknowledgement of possible disadvantages would also add nuance, while keeping your overall position clear.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The essay is organised effectively: the introduction states your view, each body paragraph develops one main reason, and the conclusion restates your position. The progression within the paragraphs is generally easy to follow, with links such as “This is because,” “In addition,” and “As a result.” These features give the response a clear overall structure. Some connections, however, feel repetitive or mechanical because several explanations begin with similar patterns, and “This equipment” refers back to the hospital equipment without adding much progression. To improve, vary how you connect cause and effect, and use clearer transitions between examples and their implications. You could also make the relationship between each paragraph’s main point and the overall positive judgement more explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic-related vocabulary, including “employment opportunities,” “agriculture,” “infrastructure,” “healthcare facilities,” and “detection and treatment.” These choices communicate the main ideas clearly, and some phrases show an attempt to use more formal language. However, several expressions are imprecise or awkwardly collocated, such as “declining of the countryside population,” “wide employment opportunities,” and “decent amount.” Repetition of “better” and “facilities” also limits flexibility. Aim to learn common word partnerships and choose more precise terms: for example, describe the rural population as “declining,” and refer to a “wider range of employment opportunities.” These refinements would make the vocabulary more natural without changing your clear meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including cause-and-effect clauses (“This is because…”) and relative clauses (“through which they can earn…”). Most sentences are understandable, and errors do not prevent the reader from following your argument. Some grammatical inaccuracies remain, particularly with articles, number, and sentence boundaries. Examples include “Moving to city areas” and “earn decent amount,” where article use needs attention, and “support their family,” where the plural context calls for a consistent form. There is also a missing space after the full stop in “amount .This,” which affects punctuation. Review articles and singular/plural agreement, and proofread punctuation. More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen control.
