Student answer (Band 5.0)

Many people in rural area are moving to urban areas in many countries in this way the population in the countryside is decreasing.in my opnion this a postive development because in the rural area there are less facilities and options to spend our lives easy and fast first of all the main problem is the education in the rural areas people dont have the best schools and the teachers and dont have the good building that is the main problem and the second thing in the rural area we dont have the medicial facilities if we are in emergency we dont have the best treatments or medicines for the patient in this situation in the rural areas we dont have these type of transport for patient that give the patient a proper time to bring this type of patient to the hospital so in the rural areas we have many type of problem so the people moving to cities.

Education is the backbone of the every society it helps every nation to the high levels so in the rural areas people dont have these facilities so due to this people moving to the cities to secure there children's life because in the cities we have the best schools, collages, universities etc so in the cities we have the wide buildings and in these buldings we have the best furniture and the facilties that every student wants so in in the villages we dont have these option

Medical facilities are very important for every one who is living the life so in the cities wo have all the facilities and treatments and the besttest medicines and the great doctors and the specialists for every diseases and we have the ambulance services that is very important in the emergency so in the rural areas we dont have these option to get the better treatmentto make life secure so we have lots of problem in the rural area these things push everyone to the cities or urban area to make their lives easy.

In conclusion i say that in the cities our lives are easy and we have all types of facilities that we wants so the cities life is the easy life we have the besttest schools, collages, universities, hospitals and in these institutes we have the best peoples and the specialist that help us and give us the the best opnoins so in the urban area we have the great options but in the rural area life is very difficult and not secure and we feel trouble in this way so in my opnion the urban life is the best life we dont compare rural areas with urban so like me everyone see this so the people moving to the cities to make their life easy and bring themselves to comfort and secure zone.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you consider rural-to-urban migration positive because cities offer better education and healthcare. These are relevant reasons, and you explain them with examples such as schools, universities, hospitals, specialists and ambulance services. However, the response addresses the issue only partially because it focuses almost entirely on the advantages for people who move, without considering possible disadvantages or the effects of a shrinking countryside. Several points are repeated rather than developed—for example, the lack of rural medical facilities is explained in multiple paragraphs. To strengthen the response, develop fewer reasons in more depth and explain the wider consequences, such as how migration might affect rural communities or city services.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an identifiable structure: an opening opinion, paragraphs about education and healthcare, and a conclusion that restates your view. This gives the reader a basic sense of organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because many ideas are joined into very long sentences, and the same points recur. Connectors such as “first of all,” “the second thing,” and repeated uses of “so” are mechanical and do not always show the relationship between ideas clearly. Paragraphing also separates similar material into two healthcare discussions rather than building a distinct sequence of points. Use shorter units to present one main idea at a time, and use clear referencing and a wider range of linking expressions to show cause, example and result.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “education,” “medical facilities,” “emergency,” “treatments,” “universities” and “ambulance services,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and many words or phrases are repeated, particularly “best,” “facilities,” “cities” and “rural areas.” Some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “make life secure,” “comfort and secure zone,” and “besttest medicines”; spelling errors such as “opnoins,” “collages” and “medicial” also reduce clarity. Aim for more precise collocations and avoid relying on general praise such as “best.” For instance, describe specific improvements in access, quality or availability rather than repeating that city services are the best.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to express reasons and results using clauses with “because,” “if” and “so,” and the reader can usually identify your main opinion. However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and many sentences run together without appropriate punctuation, making relationships between ideas unclear. There are frequent errors in sentence formation and basic grammar, as in “in my opnion this a postive development” and “the people moving to cities.” Articles, verb forms and agreement also need attention; for example, “the backbone of the every society” and “the facilities that we wants.” Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them accurately using subordinate clauses. Check each sentence for a subject, a correctly formed verb and clear punctuation.
