Student answer (Band 4.5)
It is often argued that in many countries around the world, rural people are moving toward the urban areas, so the population in the countryside is reducing. I firmly agree with this notion for following reasons.
On the one hand, in the large cities and towns there are more facilities as opposed to the rural areas. .Nowadays,
many individuals are also moving towards cities for better life and more facilities such as hospitals, education, shopping malls and many recreational places. Therefore the population is decreasing in countryside area. For instance, Nowadays many pupils are migrating towards the larger cities in order to seek education and secure job opportunities.
On the other hand, the population of country side is mainly reducing due to the facilities. However, living in urbans areas have many benefits as well as many drawbacks. In addition the rural area orovides you a peacefull environment such as have no more than any kind of pollution. In fact, living in rural area provide you mental and also helpfull for reducing many health issues. It also provide organic and naturals foods, fruits. For instance in Pakistan, individuals who are living in rural areas are more fit and stronge as opposed to people living in urban areas.
In conclusion, for the reasons outined above, I maintain that in rurals areas, all the facilities that are available in larger towns and should also be available in villages in order to control the population level of rural areas. It is essential that for living in area the useful facilities should be available.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a position—“I firmly agree”—and give relevant points about access to hospitals, education and jobs, as well as the quieter, less polluted rural environment. However, the response does not clearly answer whether rural-to-urban migration is positive or negative: the second body paragraph shifts to the benefits of rural living, and the conclusion recommends providing village facilities without resolving the comparison. The ideas are also brief and sometimes unclear, with examples such as pupils moving for education and employment not developed. The response is 246 words, below the required 250; the 10 words copied from the prompt were not counted. To strengthen the response, state a consistent judgement and explain how each example supports it.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic essay shape, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help identify these sections. However, the progression between ideas is not consistently logical: the first body paragraph explains why people leave rural areas, while the second mainly describes advantages of rural life, without clearly connecting this contrast to your judgement. Some linking is mechanical or confusing, particularly “However” after the claim that rural population is decreasing due to facilities. Punctuation and spacing also interrupt flow. Organise the body around two clear reasons supporting one position, and use linking phrases to show the precise relationship between claims and examples.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “recreational places,” “pollution,” “organic” and “job opportunities,” and the reader can generally understand the subject. However, the range is limited and several expressions are repetitive or imprecise, such as repeated references to “facilities” and “population is decreasing.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, including “orovides,” “peacefull,” “outined,” “stronge” and “naturals foods,” which reduce accuracy and polish. Some phrases, such as “living in urbans areas,” are not natural English. Build a more precise set of terms for migration and rural services, and check spelling and collocations carefully so your meaning is expressed more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer structures, including “in order to seek education and secure job opportunities” and the concluding clause beginning “in order to control.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make several sentences awkward or difficult to follow. For example, “living in urbans areas have” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “living in rural area provide you” lacks appropriate agreement and article use. The sentence “In fact, living in rural area provide you mental” is also structurally incomplete. Punctuation is inconsistent, with misplaced full stops and missing spaces. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses while checking agreement, articles and sentence boundaries.
