Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer.

Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter

• suggest how you could help her in her home
• say why you would like to do this work
• explain when you will and will not be available

Dear Mr. Barrett,

My name is Pat Patel and I read your advertisement that you need someone who help you in your home for few hours in day next summer. I would really like to do this work.

First of all, I am an international student and live alone here in London. So, I know all the basic household chores. So it would be significantly benefit for you. I will help you in the cleaning and washing. Apart from this, I would help you buying groceries and cooking also.

Well, as I mentioned before, I am an international student and my English language is not fluent. Therefore, if I will work with you, my speaking skill should be improved. Moreover, I don't have much friends here and most of the time I am free,

I am available. So, this opportunity would be beneficial for me as well.

My college time is 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. After that, I have classes in the evening. My availability is 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the evening. I would be grateful to be your helping hand.
