Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer.

Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter

• suggest how you could help her in her home
• say why you would like to do this work
• explain when you will and will not be available

Dear Mrs Barrett,

As I was flicking through the pages of an esteemed daily, I learned about an advertised for household help needed for a few hours a day next summer. Since I help my mother in numerous and domestic tasks such as gardening, laundry, cleaning. I have considerable work experience as a home helper. As a result, I could be a valuable asset to assist you in homes chores.

For my final year assignment, I have to submit a reference report for providing domestic help in the vicinity. This opportunity will not only help me in gaining domestic work experience but will also allow me to present my work and learnings as a final year project and will help in elevating my overall score.

Would you be kind enough to look into my request? I will be available for 8 hours on weekends from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. Additionally I will also be able to work for 4 hours on weekdays from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm after my school hours.
