Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5
You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You clearly outlined the services you can provide, explained your motivation, and specified your availability. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter, and the purpose is clear from the beginning. To reach a higher band, you could provide more specific details about your experience at the Holiday Inn or elaborate on why you are particularly suited to help Mrs. Barrett, which would help to fully develop your ideas rather than just listing them.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5
The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a closing. Each paragraph focuses on a specific aspect of the task, which makes the information easy to follow. You use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'Apart from that' to link your ideas. However, the flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that the transition between your experience and your availability is smoother. The paragraphing is appropriate for a formal letter.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'advertisement', 'assistance', and 'passionate'. However, there are some minor inaccuracies and repetitive phrasing, such as 'activities' being used multiple times. To improve, try to use more precise synonyms for common words. For instance, instead of 'doing house chores', you could use 'maintaining a household'. The spelling is generally accurate, but ensure you are consistent with names, as you spelled 'Barrett' correctly in the prompt but as 'Barret' in your letter.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are some grammatical errors that slightly affect the flow. For example, 'all the friends I have does ask' should be 'all the friends I have ask' (subject-verb agreement), and 'I have working experience of 2 years in Holiday Inn for the same' is slightly awkward phrasing. Additionally, 'I will be perfect match' is missing an article ('a perfect match'). Despite these errors, the meaning is always clear, and the punctuation is generally correct.
