Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The letter addresses all three bullet points required by the prompt: suggesting help, explaining the motivation, and detailing availability. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter to an acquaintance. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of why you want to do the work is a bit vague, relying on general praise rather than specific personal goals. Additionally, the availability section is slightly contradictory, as you state you are only available on weekends but then offer to manage the whole week. To improve, ensure your ideas are fully extended and consistent throughout the letter.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized, with each paragraph focusing on a specific requirement of the task. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'Moreover', and 'So', which help the flow of the text. However, the paragraphing is not fully utilized; the entire body of the letter is presented as one block, which makes it harder to read. Using clear paragraph breaks between the different points would significantly improve the structure. Additionally, some transitions are a bit mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'So' to start sentences.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your message clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'household chores', 'laundry', and 'professional'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'I heared a lot about you from the people' (should be 'I have heard a lot about you from others') and 'manage the personal and professional live' (should be 'life'). To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise vocabulary and ensure that collocations are natural and accurate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that occasionally distract the reader. For example, 'I want to talk about the advert advertised for help' is redundant, and 'You are you very kind lady' contains a repetition error. There are also issues with sentence fragments and punctuation, such as 'in your town. and this summer'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they indicate a need for more careful proofreading and a better grasp of sentence boundaries and article usage.
