IELTS Writing Task 1 question

Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer.

Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter

• suggest how you could help her in her home
• say why you would like to do this work
• explain when you will and will not be available

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Mrs Barrett,

Dear Barrett,

I hope you are doing well. I have been thinking about your advertisement for an assistance you need in your home for few hours a day in coming summer. As a student I get off in summer. So, I would like to help you in your some of the house hold chores.

Currently I am pursuing the hotel management course, so I can help you in cooking. I really enjoy preparing meals. I personally believe that it would be fun. We could try different healthy recipes together. As you are living with your family, it would be helpful for me too. By working there, I could learn how to serve the customers and complete the line efficiently. Apart from kitchen, I could help you in cleaning too.

I want to spend my summer productively. I have been planning to join dance classes too in the evening. I am available from 15 June to 30 July and my working horse would be 9am-4pm.
