IELTS Writing Task 1 question

Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer.

Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter

• suggest how you could help her in her home
• say why you would like to do this work
• explain when you will and will not be available

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Mrs Barrett,

Dear Mrs Barrett,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing regarding your advertisement that you need assistance in your house.

First of all, I am interested to help you in regarding any work you want to do in your house. I have completed many things such as cutting trees and bush, repairing house walls and cleaning carpets, just like professionals in my house by my self.

Furthermore, I really love to help people who are in need. In addition to that, I will take a month off from my work to complete a part time course in next summer.

Lastly, I would appreciate if you let me work with you in the month of June. I will be available for whole month including weeked, 8am to 3pm, after that I need to attend a part time corse starts at 5pm. Therefore, I will not be able to assist you after 3pm.

Let me know what time suites you, I will be there for you.
