I hope this letter finds you well , I am writing to you because i saw your advertisement that you need somebody to help in your house for a few hours in a day for the next summer and i will be more than happy to do that for you.

As you may know that i live 2 blocks away from you so i do not have to worry about to catching the public transport , I would also like to mention that you also mentioned about salary for doing your house work but i will not take any of the charges from you because that is my responsibility to take care of you as a good neighbor on the top of that i am good at everything such as cooking , gardening , dishes , sweeping and mopping i can do everything .

I have small request to you that i am available after 2.00pm on the basis of everyday because i am working early in the morning so 3.00 pm will be the suitable timing for me to do your house work , and i will be not available during the weekends because every weekends i have to go to visit my uncle .

I am looking forward to hearing from you that you like my offer.

Yours lovingly,

Bob

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: suggesting how you can help, explaining your motivation, and clarifying your availability. The tone is generally appropriate for a letter to a neighbor. However, the content is slightly repetitive, particularly regarding your offer to work for free, which could have been expressed more concisely. To improve, ensure that your ideas are fully developed without unnecessary repetition. The letter is well-structured and covers all requirements of the task effectively, demonstrating a clear purpose throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. You use some basic cohesive devices like 'As you may know' and 'on the top of that'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where punctuation errors, such as comma splices (e.g., 'I hope this letter finds you well , I am writing...'), disrupt the logical progression. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your punctuation supports the flow of your ideas rather than hindering it.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your message clearly. You use relevant terms such as 'advertisement', 'responsibility', and 'suitable timing'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'take any of the charges' instead of 'accept any payment' or 'charge for my services'. Additionally, the phrase 'Yours lovingly' is inappropriate for a neighborly, professional-style request; 'Yours sincerely' or 'Best regards' would be much more suitable. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise collocations will help you achieve a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the public transport'), preposition usage, and sentence boundaries (comma splices). For example, 'I will be not available' should be 'I will not be available'. There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and unnecessary capitalization of 'i'. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and refining your control over complex sentence structures to ensure they are error-free.
