IELTS Writing Task 1 question

Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer.

Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter

• suggest how you could help her in her home
• say why you would like to do this work
• explain when you will and will not be available

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Mrs Barrett,

Dear Mrs Barrett,

I hope you are doing well.

I am writing to you as I came across your advertisement for help at your home for the coming summer. I would like to inform you that I am available for the coming summer from Monday to Thursday from morning 11A.M to Evening 4P.M. I will not be available from Friday to Sunday as I have enrolled for a summer camp and will be busy with that.

I wanted to do this work because I want to save some money for my new bicycle. I can help you out with lots of different things like watering your garden, trimming grass from your backyard and at the front of the house. Along with this, I can also help you with painting of your fences which I see you do every summer.

I would be really happy if you consider me for this and I will make sure you won't regret your decision.
